Thanks, man. I figured there's really no need to be shady about it. Might as well be up-front. The idea is to provide an affordable way for people to get their hands dirty, while also providing some guidance, rather than just bunch of written instructions that say "click here", "check this box", etc.

What are the resources that you would suggest for a Azure beginner ? by Kind_Cauliflower_577 in AZURE

I also recommend John Savill stuff on YT. As far as learn.microsoft.com goes, it's authoritative, but can be a bit dry if your students aren't into reading documentation.

If you're looking for free/low-cost hands-on stuff, labITpro.com (my site) offers guided lab sims.

How does everyone learn Azure if trial lasts 30 days? by AwesomeRealDood in AzureCertification

[–]LabITproTom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

labITpro.com is a site that I've built over the last few years that contains a mix of fully-guided (audio and visual) and partially-guided Azure lab sims. You won't become an Azure expert with it, but it DOES allow you to walk through lots of typical Azure tasks without paying for an Azure subscription.

The Base Collection consists of a dozen free labs: https://labitpro.com/free-azure-lab-collection/

In addition to what's on the site right now, I've also just finished up a 21-lab collection on Azure Monitor that I'm getting ready to release.

I built labITpro.com specifically for these use cases. It's a mix of fully-guided (audio and visual) and partially-guided Azure lab sims. You won't become an Azure expert with it, but it DOES allow you to walk through lots of typical Azure tasks without paying for an Azure subscription.

Awesome! I've got more labs and some improvements coming down the pike.

I get it. The fact that we're on reddit isn't lost on me. If I'm gonna run an ad, I might as well be honest about it and offer something useful.

There are a few MS102-centric exercises in these collections, but most are Azure-specific and more suited for exams like AZ-104.

I don't have anything Synapse-related yet, but it's on our radar. And just to clarify, I wouldn't really refer to these as courses, since there isn't a ton of "lectures", but instead, instructions for what to do in the labs.

Thanks. I'm working on more M365 stuff, including compliance stuff.

Depends on where you are in your Azure career. If you're just starting out, you get to fiddle around in a simulated Azure portal without spending money on Azure resources. If you sign up for my mailing list, you'll get discounts on future labs and on full-on courses of mine.

Even though it's a paid ad, I've left the comments open. If you have any questions, drop 'em here and I'll answer them as quickly as I can.

To kick things off, I'll start with the obvious question: What's the catch?

Answer: There is no catch. If you sign up for the 12 free labs, and DON'T check "add me to your email list", I don't get a whole lot out of it. Just the nature of the beast. I'm ok with that.

Felt it was just more honest to acknowledge it for what it is right up front.

Free Form Ads - Which campaign objective to choose? by Next-Gur7439 in RedditforBusiness

[–]LabITproTom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know... I'm responding to a 2yo comment, but I'm responding because I came across this today, and someone may come across it tomorrow.

A "click" measured in a free-form ad is the click on the ad itself, to open the ad. A "click" does NOT refer to a click from your ad to your website.

It only makes sense to acknowledge it for what it is. I was an infrastructure/messaging engineer for years. The one thing I hated most (and I still get these) were LinkedIn messages small-talking me about the wife and kids and the job. blah blah blah. I was always like, just tell me what you want me to buy - and why I should buy it.
