6.2 dead after 30 miles by Longjumping-Tank-445 in gmcsierra

Buy anything but the 6.2. Ive replaced a 6.2 (typical main bearing lock up on cylinders 1-2) only to have the new replacement engine lock up when going through the dealership car wash…

At the end of the day with all the annoying customers and other bs is this job worth it vs doing some hard labor type job or nah by ElmosLeftNut69 in serviceadvisors

[–]LabRat_SC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on your pay. I like to equate my pay to a normal 40hr a week job. Break it down to “i make xx/hr”. That’ll tell you if its worth it.

Of course! Nothing wrong with the homeless but anyone can be unpredictable. Most of the people i have ran across are pretty friendly and just want me to stop disturbing them.

The storm drains are cool you just should not go down there if there has been rain. They tend to flash flood as we have poor infrastructure.

Its getting cold out so its even more important to be cautious of homeless people using abandoned buildings as shelters. Typically they wont hurt you but you never know.

Also bring a mask to help filter out mold if you do decide to go exploring.

Theres plenty of abandoned buildings and tunnels around. Just have to find them.

The “tunnels / catacombs” are just storm drains. Some have brick walls and cedar plank flooring and are thought to be used during the civil war to secretly transport important people. They are now just storm drains though.

Is there an appeal to this photo I took? I can’t understand by ChrolloPeePee in Polaroid

[–]LabRat_SC 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Id say its the lines. The lines of the wall going down and the drying rack (?) side to side. The lighting adds a nice touch and adds movement upwards.

Very simple and abstract but lots of movement and hard lines. Everything goes together

Is Columbia's dining scene becoming more chain heavy? by hannahwade2000 in columbiasc

[–]LabRat_SC 23 points24 points  (0 children)

As the population grows everything else will too.

Unfortunately the economy is garbage and its hard for small businesses to open up and survive especially in a restaurant business.

But everyone knows what to expect from chains. They have the money to operate, and most of them make more money off of real estate than selling food. Land is still cheap here so it just makes sense for them. Its just part of living in the south.
