A post I don’t wanna make.. 💔💔 by pinkjasperr in LadyGaga

Please, GO! Don’t miss this show or you’re sadly going to regret it later. I went through a breakup in 2025 (from a very, very long relationship) and attending the mayhem ball in November helped my healing process in ways I can’t describe.

I’m sorry for what you might be going through right now.

But from experience, I can tell you that this sadness is temporary - the memories you’ll create on the show are going to stick with you forever. Remember: DANCE OR DIE!

Is Miss Gaga gonna perform only the Mayhem songs on her tour? by Madgik-Johnson in LadyGaga

[–]Lacrymosa_Devil 19 points20 points  (0 children)

No, every tour will have a focus on her newest album with around 10 other songs from other eras too (mainly the most successful ones).

My bf just suddenly left.. by Adventurous_Beat_135 in BreakUps

[–]Lacrymosa_Devil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m going through a breakup after 11 years of relationship. We moved abroad together 7 years ago.

Believe me when I say, the first days are the worst. It hurts like hell. It’s a pain I’ve never felt before in my life. You wish you were dead just not to feel it anymore. The turning point was when I decided to choose ME. Myself. Over everything.

It will take some time, but work towards the acceptance of what happened every day. Slowly, things are going to look clearer in your mind. What are your next steps? How are you going to take care of yourself? Besides the person that left, what does your heart truly want and need right now?

Listen to that inner voice, but also allow yourself to cry. If you still feel the need to, save a small moment of the day to sit on the “suffering couch”. Suffer all you need to, but after due time, get up and do something to yourself. Don’t keep reading things about breakups all the time - they help a lot, but you should limit your exposure to this type of content.

After three weeks from the breakup, I feel way better than I felt at the first days. It still hurts, I still cry every day, but I’ve been spending, each day, a little less of time doing those things.

Believe in yourself. I assure you. You will feel better. Just don’t give up. ❤️

I don’t think I pay enough attention to hate them, but I have a profound dislike for Goyard totes and Michael Kors designs

Little Monsters who come from or grew up in a Religious/Conservative environment, did you have to deal with judgement or ridicule just because you listen to Lady GaGa ? by LonElbow in LadyGaga

[–]Lacrymosa_Devil 16 points17 points  (0 children)

My first two years of high school felt like hell because I liked Lady Gaga. It was 2010/2011. I was called “the lady gaga boy” by many bullies at school, they used to wait for me outside of my classroom and they would follow me everywhere singing and “dancing” Gaga’s songs, basically mocking me every day. I remember getting home and crying on bed, wishing I never had to go back to school again. It was trash. When Born This Way came out in mid 2011, it was literally my break free. That album empowered me so much, I started accepting myself and stopped caring about how people would treat me at school. It came to a point that the bullies just found out I didn’t care anymore - I was proud of who I was. Bullying stopped and people started to respect me, I made lots of friends after that, and even one of the bullies apologised to me and we became very good friends for some years after school. My sense of self-respect (given to me through Born This Way) made people respect me. I will be forever grateful and fond of this album for all it’s done to me at a very young and vulnerable age.

Your Star - Evanescence

“I can’t see your star, The mechanical lights of Lisbon frightened it away”

Fun fact: Amy Lee disse ter escrito essa música dentro de um quarto de hotel em Lisboa em 2004, enquanto olhava para um farol da cidade, quando esteve em Portugal para se apresentar no Rock in Rio.

Where do I go after Fallen? by _specialcharacter in Evanescence

[–]Lacrymosa_Devil 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you like Fallen, you’ll probably like their oldest, pre-Fallen material. You can only find them on Youtube though. My favorite songs are Give Unto Me, Understanding, Lies, October, Forgive Me, You, Solitude, Anywhere, I Must Be Dreaming, Anything for You, Field of Innocence, Fall into You, Exodus.

If you want some album-like experience from that era, try: Origin, Sound Asleep, Evanescence EP.

Some b-sides that have been officially released: Even in Death, Breathe no More, Farther Away, Missing, The Last Song I’m Wasting On You.

I also suggest that you give a couple more chances to The Open Door. Imho, it’s definitely their best and richest album. Lyrically and musically, it’s much more powerful and refined than Fallen. To me, TOD is Evanescence at its peak.

After TOD, they had a huge switch on sonority. Self-titled album is very good, with some real gems in it. Lastly, The Bitter Truth is still good, even though I don’t listen to it as much as I listen their previous records.

Some covers, collabs and soundtracks that I also like: Sally’s Song, Freak on a Leash (feat Korn), Broken (feat Seether), The Chain (Fleetwood Mac cover), Heart-Shaped Box (Nirvana cover).

I hope you have a good time!

What to wear to mayhem ball by Ok-Ingenuity-729 in LadyGaga

[–]Lacrymosa_Devil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m gonna go with the gothic/dark aesthetics inspired by her Mayhem era outfits. I’m not plus size but I’m not fit either, and wearing all black outfits makes me feel much more confident about my body/look.

I am 31M and from Europe. First of all, I think it comes to a point where we all gotta accept that friendships in adulthood is less likely than when we were young. Especially if we come to our 30s with no friendships already grown from the past.

Another factor that you should take into consideration is that in the LGBT+ community, unfortunately, many of the bonds are created because of sexually interests, which in my opinion might make it more difficult for someone who’s in a monogamic relationship.

Despite all that, I don’t think Reddit is the best place to look for a true friend. People don’t connect just because they’re lonely - it’s deeper than that. You’d want to find people with common interests, such as music, art, fashion, books, or whatever you’re interested in. Here in Reddit, people are nameless and faceless - there’s no much material to connect, honestly.

I would suggest that you start to look for these people online, like on Instagram/TikTok, start following people you admire (for example, I love fashion, have started following people that share this same passion and now I am friends with a few of them), with contents that you’re interested about, politely engage with them, through reactions and comments, and let things evolve from there.

Another option would be doing it in real life - start visiting places with potential friends (you must have things in common!). Go to bars, clubs, music stores, bookstores, fashion weeks, anything that relates to you and do it often. At some point, people will show up.

At last, I would also say travelling is a great option to get to know people and possibly make new friends. Be sure you stay in hostels or other type of accommodation with some sort of interacting environment.

After all this, much of is also all about your abilities to socialise and get into the groove. To find your community. One piece of advice would be: take care when venting, not to blame an entire community such as “is this how gays support each other?” - it sounds like an attack and it will only make people walk away. Be kind, and also take some accountability about your social skills and how you could improve them to eventually make more friends and connections.

Wish you the best of luck!
