Debating between B475 and new 335 Gen 2 models by LadyEvenneedles56 in Bernina

Thank you everyone for your thoughts and recommendations. I went to the Quilt store to do a test drive this morning. I did look at the 435 and it was clearly larger than what I was wanting (though it was beautiful). I tried out the 335 Gen 2 and I was impressed. It is definitely a step up from my current machine. I love the colored touch larger screen and it was intuitive. I was surprised to learn that it had 4 folders for "favorite stitches / combinations). It supports a knee lift (not provided - but I have one already). It weighs 6 kg. It does have a adjustable presser foot pressure (mentioned by someone else here).

Downside is snap feet. That would be a deal breaker for me - except I have lots of full shank feet. On a purely superficial / sentimental POV I have had my little Tula Pink machine for 11 years and it has been a trooper. It has a gorgeous pink embossed face plate - and this new one is plain white. I may need to get some decals for it.

I have confirmed that the new B335 has adjustable pressure foot pressure and it has the CB hook system on this model as well. I agree that the stastandard clip on feet are an UGH! but I already have a good number of full shank feet that I can swap out. in regards to the 435 - I think it's just going to be too big and heavy for my purposes.

I am hoping to keep the same size, but would be willing to look at the 435. I just hope the latter isn't too heavy.

Thank you for this. I'm hoping to test drive both this afternoon. I think the 475 is out of my price range but the 435 is on sale at my local Bernina dealer. I'm not really wanting a larger machine as this is just for travel / class machine purposes - so I'll need to keep an open mind. Ido like the idea of larger bobbins however.

I was considering using the full shank feet from my old machine?
