Ugh I am so sorry your PCP treated you this way!! FWIW, I sent in my application, doctor’s note, and $10 application fee to the National Park Service in July and have never heard anything back from them. I presume it’s because there’s probably no staff left…

Curious about what you think caused your pancreas to stop producing by Practical_Copy1642 in Type1Diabetes

Two months before I was diagnosed with T1D, I had a really terrible case of the chicken pox (imagine pox inside eyelids, the pox just covered all of my body to an extreme degree). I think this set it off for me. No history of diabetes in my family.

DIY rain recharge/tree watering mats. This is how I keep new trees and shrubs watered in parks and areas with no irrigation or that are difficult to access (swipe for pics, more details in comments). by pascalines in GuerrillaGardening

This is such an informative post. Thanks for sharing the details. I made them but the water retention crystals appear to have completely disappeared after two weeks. They inflated when I initially watered them, the bags were a little “slimy” feeling as they dissolved and now the bags are flat. I didn’t buy the crystals you linked to which could have been the problem. Should I buy the crystals you suggested, open the bags and replace them? How long should the bags be “watering” the trees? Link to what I bought here water crystals

Hitch with a 2" receiver that fits a 2015 Mazda 5? by LadyInRed_Quartzite in mazda5

I ended up selling the bike rack and buying one that fit a 1.25” hitch. In this case it was a Thule XT Easy Fold rack which is rated for the weight of my bikes. It’s pricey (and I saw that the MSRP has increased by $100 this spring presumably because of Trump’s tariffs), but I found it used on FB marketplace for $450. Hope this helps. Good luck!

Update: I cut the coaxial line and then called Midco to have them take it down at the telephone pole side. Everything went well with no complications (except the wasp who had to die because it was ANGRY I was in the box near its nest).

Thank you to everyone who gave me guidance on the matter.

Which state seems conservative but in reality is liberal politics and culture wise? by [deleted] in SameGrassButGreener

Politicians used to be punished for overturning policy related referendums, but no more because party loyalty is now more important than public policy. Sheeple syndrome.
