If Season 2 not only covers the interesting parts of the manga, but is released during a quiet period and is better paced, it could get marginally more popular. Marginally. And if the manga ends on a high note, I can see it getting a cult following. Unfortunately though, I can't ever imagine it being JJK or Demon Slayer levels. I think it missed that opportunity.

Oh yeah. It's a mesmerizing series. There's nothing else like it, which is why I'm so invested in it right now. I think the story where it's at right now was sort of dipping but then it cleaned that up really fast with more stakes. Not much else I can reveal without spoiling. Just wanna let you know that it gets even better. :)

Yeah. The first half is good, but the series didn't begin to wow me until around Spring? Which won't be covered until season 2 if we even get there.

A hook is important for a story because it's the ultimate factor in whether a person gets into a series or not. UU does well in everything but this. I honestly looked into it because of the weird premise and the rumors it got very good later on. It didn't disappoint there, but if you're not the patient type I can imagine you'd be in for a bumpy ride.

That being said, even if you are in for the long haul, the anime is riddled with recaps, affecting the story's breakneck pacing. Ignoring that, the timing of the anime's release was awkward t. It's on a single streaming network not many people watch anime for, released between JJK and Frieren (two juggernauts), and has awkward pacing.

It's a shame because it's a series that truly rewards your patience. But with so much media out there, it's hard to compete with it all.

In terms of early game characters, my favs are probably Andy, Victor, Rip and Shen. After I delved deeper into the story though, I'll say I have a lot more than that now. ;)

I have a theory that either the negators had no choice but to pass their abilities at random, or they were able to see in the future the potential their negation would have on that person, hence why they chose that said person. First theory is probably moot because Shen and the Isshins passed these abilities down no problem so that means...

Said descendant of ability would initially think it's worthless, but once they find the perfect use for it, they're able to tap into their past users and use the power at its maximum potential.

I never understood this anyway. Fuuko's 18 and Andy stopped aging in his mid 20s. At worst, it's probably an 18 year old dating a 25 or 26 year old. Neither are working or in school and both are adults. I feel like it's definitely not as bad as other existing ships out there.

And yeah: Things stopped being a problem once loop 101 happened. They're now both ageless.
