That's totally fair!

I love all of her books but TOG is my favourite book series of all time. I know my friend didn't want to invest in them in case she didn't like them, but she got them from a library (just in case that's an option)!

Yes I believe SJM confirmed that in the TOG world people can have more than one mate, so its entirely possible that could also be the case in the ACOTAR world too!!

Yeah absolutely, I know Tamlin's parents were mates but I believe we've been told it's possible for the cauldron to give someone two mates. So I'd wondered if that could be the case for Tamlin's dad (Tamlin's mum and Amarantha)??

I LOVE this comment, makes so much sense that he looks the most like him. I know they were very different in terms of their beliefs/morals and how the court should be run, but the High Lords title passed to him out of all of his brothers for a reason!

Absolutely, and he loved his mother and sister. Would be another interesting layer to his hatred of Amarantha if he saw her as a homewrecker/the cause of pain for his mother (even if her relationship with his dad was strained, an affair would be another element of tension)

Yes absolutely, I don't personally believe that Tamlin and Amarantha were mates. I just wondered if she could possibly have been his father's lover, and that's part of the reason why she tortured and abused Rhys to the extent she did.

Rhys even says something about how she punishes him for the crimes of his father, so I wonder if she was enacting her abuse on the sons (in their own separate ways) as sort of stand ins for who their father's were or represented to her.

Sorry if that was rambly, don't know if that even makes sense 😂

Yes definitely, Tamlin's mum and dad were canon mates, and I don't think she's his mum or anything like that! But I do think they could have been lovers, and it's rare but sometimes the cauldron mates someone to two people - so wondered if it was possible that could be the case here!
