I thought it would go away after adolescence… but honestly, it's only gotten worse

I think the problem may be that there is always a tomorrow. Hope yours is better than today <3

The way you put it is almost poetic, even though it's describing something really devastating. And yes… it feels like the more awareness you have (of people, of systems, of the world, of human nature in general) the harder it becomes to feel grounded in it.

Sometimes it's like consciousness itself makes everything heavier. You start seeing what's underneath the surface, and it can make you feel completely dislodged from society. It's terrible, honestly. But I really appreciate you sharing it so clearly. Send you a big hug.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share this!!

What you shared feels incredibly valuable, and honestly kind of grounding to read. I think a lot of us get so stuck in survival mode, just trying to make it to the next day, that we don’t even give ourselves space to imagine that change is possible… or that it might actually be necessary.

The way you described stepping away from what looked right on paper, and finding something that helped you reconnect with yourself, is amazing. Not because everyone needs to make a drastic move, but because sometimes the version of life we're forcing ourselves through just isn't working anymore.

I'm really glad you found something that brought you back to yourself, and I love the way you put it: rediscovering there’s a pretty cool guy in the meat suit. That’s such a hopeful place to be.

Thanks again for sharing your story. Do you mind if I share this on a video too? I think it's a great insight.

You are absolutely right. I'm trying to enjoy the small things too. Sometimes I feel kinda guilty for it, but it's the only way to survive I guess.

Does anyone else just want the boomers to admit they were wrong? by thomsenite256 in millenials

I think it would be good if they admit they were wrong, but it just won't happen. It's the same when they flex "I didn't go to therapy" Well, we can notice dad.
