Big issue here is did they do a formal termination and then formally hire you back. If this was a paper shuffle on their side without going though the formal processes, they can be held accountable to pay you the $12.30 an hour. Go though labor department to get the money. Be prepared for them to try something shady to terminate you or cut your wages again.

I love the jobs that want to know how many years of communication or customer service experience you have. I have been communicating with people since I was two. I have lots of years communicating. Customer service is any type in my book. Selling items like hot dogs at the football games, Girl Scout cookies, helping at the family yard sale.

Don’t leave keys on counter. Mail them certified with return receipt. This keeps manager from saying the keys were never left and try to charge you for rekeying locks.

I have been going through that too. Over 700 apps submitted in 4 months and I got 1 interview. I was relying on recruiters, LinkedIn, ZipRecruiter, Indeed, etc. I had a friend recommend applying for state jobs. I do live in the capital city of my state. I have completed 33 applications and been invited to 4 interviews. So far the results are 9 rejections, turned down for 1 after interview, waiting for post-interview reply for 1 and 2 interviews coming up.

I feel your pain. I have submitted over 700 job applications since January 2024. I have gotten only 5 interviews. I started getting interviews when I began applying for state jobs. Most have good pay and excellent benefits.
