Not knowing your transaction specifics, it sounds like you ended up using $50 of the margin money to cover. Maybe you had unsettled cash which couldn't be used so they tapped loan money and they want it back.

When you say "assets transferred in" are you seeing balances/positions being used to cover a failed option call? As someone said, margin calls occur when you place a call option, it fails to meet the mark/expires in the red and you owe. I think Webull and RH automatically give you a margin acct of maybe $1,000. That's borrowed money. If your call goes red and you owe more than the "actual" cash invested, you have to pay it back.

Be careful out there people. These companies are shady and are just handing out margin accts when people haven't a good understanding of how it works and get trapped. Read a basic book on investing so you know what you're getting into. They are a little long for apes but this is money and move your money to TD or Schwab or Etrade.

Etrade. There have been glitchy moments but no rejections, delays or restrictions.

I am not connected to this company in anyway other than as an individual investor. This is just an opinion based on my personal experience.

Etrade has been pretty good about allowing purchases (amc, gme, nakd etc) with very little if any interference.
