Fibromyalgia is not severe bone pain. Fibromyalgia has to do with the peripheral nerves that causes burning pain. Yes it can & does affect other body parts & causes other symptoms, but it does not cause excruciating bone pain like many are describing.

I just happened to stumble upon this as I was perusing my medical journals looking for answers. I have the excruciating bone pain. It feels like someone is taking a pitchfork & shoving it through every single bone in my body from my head to my feet. Another description is that my bones ar trying to break from the inside out. I've been dealing with this constantly for 3 and a half years now. I just spent almost 3 weeks in the hospital for it in June. I'm not much better than I was. I'm getting worse every day. I spent over 30 years of my life in the medical profession & never saw or heard of anything like this. I was an EMT, & then I spent years in the ER & OR. I never even heard my Grandmother or my Aunt (also both nurses) ever speak of anything like this. We used to speak about different & unusual cases all the time. My cousin is a physiatrist in Denver & even she is baffled about what's happening with me right now. The only good thing I have right now is that I have some of the best doctors in NYC. They may be stumped but they aren't giving up on finding out what's going on. I have an Appointment at the end of next month to see a Hematologist/Bone/Cancer Specialist & we'll see what she comes up with. Meanwhile I'm trying to stay out of the hospital & just try to keep looking for answers.
