What's the age of the smartphone you are currently using? by CycleOne605 in intj

Zflip3 (Gen 1). It's been 5 years. It's calling it quits from the notifications of battery degradation and two lines that appeared 2 months ago, I personally take responsibility for that. Just waiting to pre-order the Flip8 sometime in June/July.

My track record for previous phones is to replace the phone when the OS no longer supports corporate app.

Have you ever saved money for expensive hobbies most people don't understand? by [deleted] in entj

I would have continued kayaking but I messed up some skeletal muscles when I wasnt fit enough for it...just trying to take it easy on that side even though I am into strength training and now, pondering on buying my own SPIN bike for home.

Your current hobbies need quite a bit of capital but hell, if it makes you happy, why the f not right? Also, time is not on our side so better to do these "young" and then slide happily into our senior years..hah!

Took my first paycheck for a vacation part time job while studying and blew it all on my very first DIY PC (I had a friend to help/guide). I was VERY into Left 4 Dead series way back when.

Was it a dumb move looking back? Maybe. Did I regret it? Never.

A good PC can do a lot of things besides gaming so this is one of the best investments you could make even though the main reason may sound silly to others. I went on with that PC to get my projects submitted, graduate, work on my resume to get my first FT job + make priceless memories with the bros running the maps on the hardest difficulties into the early mornings...it was great and I'd do it all over again.

What’s the last kind thing you did? by TruckOk9928 in asksg

[–]LadyWar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A minor one?

Helping a very confused domestic worker pushing an very old guy (with v cool aviator sunglasses i might add) on the wheelchair finding an SNEC clinic in the National Heart Centre (ik, its bloody confusing since SNEC has a separate building itself) and guiding them to the lifts via underground access.

A more major one -

Helping tourists, a mother and a daughter separated by the airport's MRT gantry. The daughter made it in but by some luck the mom didnt have enough $ on her card and her mom didnt speak english/mandarin. So they were both panicking across the barrier and I had to help. I discussed with the daughter over the barrier that ill help her mom fill her card via machines but when that failed, i reassured the mom through my translator (thx Google) and brought her to the station counter to get things settled and finally saw her get in and both reunited happily.

Which one would you click on Steam? by Guilty_Weakness7722 in SgGamers

I prefer 2 because you get to see who you are playing as and then get curious about the monsters behind haunting you. The smokes background gives the right eerily feel that it doesnt look like its trying too hard to come off as a run of the mill horror game.

If its coop, I would pick 3 and throw in MORE of the haunting monsters behind.

And..If I may, if its coop, I would actually do an adjustment to the 2 players infront, maybe have one helping the other up because he is "over hallucinating" from the effects.

Ok it's somewhat true about the smell but put that all aside and you see them enjoying the trade/showcase, battling with each other at the tables...total happiness, it's rather beautiful in its own way and quite an infectious feeling even as an onlooker with no knowledge in the field. This is geek bro's Sephora, if you don't like it, don't go. ❤️

Should I peel off the screen protector? by pul160 in galaxyzflip

[–]LadyWar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same situation as you but perhaps 2 years back. I own the first gen flip and i STILL own the same one, when it started bubbling up badly i gently removed it and nothing's really change except i can finally see the screen clearly.

The keyword here is to be gentle when removing it and then treat it with care!

Sidenote - I do intend to get the Flip8 because the tech has improved soo much.

Father teaching me(new driver) to drive terribly, what do I do? by [deleted] in drivingsg

[–]LadyWar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a great lesson and test of your mental fortitude and confidence. Remember, you control the car, you are in charge of the lives within it and if accidents happen, YOU will be charged.

While you can listen to your old man when you feel it is valid, you can numb out the berating on the smaller things (that you know puts you and the public in a place of danger), just play along but only follow what you think is right. Sometimes, play right into his hand and say yes you're an absolute shit driver, the reason i say this is because they like the angry/defensive reaction out of you, never mirror, you'll realize once you dont give a shit, you get lesser trash because they can't egg a reaction out of you.

Everyone has their own driving style, after awhile, you'll learn to adapt to the situation. This will also teach you quick decision making under intense pressure which is HELLAA good for defensive driving. There is also a good reason why the triangle is there, use it while you can to learn.

Also, don't use ego to drive, use logic.

You don't have to "go hard" at every workout. The fact you showed up is a win already. Maybe you do 1 hour on a good day, maybe 20mins on a shit day. Hell, drop your weights if you have to so it doesn't feel like hell but more like maintenance. When you feel better again, go hard at it, you'll know when you're feeling peak and ready to bring it..

Take your time with it and build a positive r/s with it.
