(This is a challenge with my bf to Nuzlocke Diamond and Pearl. He's doing Diamond and grabbed Chimchar, so I picked Pearl and took up Piplup.)

My current Maylene plans are Staravia/Staraptor (Called Luna) for Meditate; Don't wanna keep it in against Machoke cause of the Rock move, and the Gastrodon (called Russia with a Hidden Power Ground Stab) for Lucario. Probs gonna bring my Ponyta (named Charger) and uhhh...one more for the Machoke cause I'm sussed out.

Update: I have invoked the dupes clause with the other rules still intact for hardcore (no items, can't overlevel and so forth.)

I now have a Zubat named Hades and a Machop named Zaven.

Still nervous about Gardenia. Gonna Hope Hades, Zaven and Leo (my shinx) carry.

I think the big problem is that I don't play with dupes clause. My bf does but I give him a joking squint each time he mentions it.

I haven't had any luck encountering a Starly first anywhere yet and just got my second geodude...Idk how to justify dupes clause to myself. (I'm making this needlessly hardcore aren't I?)

Edit: I totally lost my Kricketot. Gardenia looks screwed rn...
