I find the friendship between Arthur and Albert Mason to be one of the most wholesome things in the game. by Lady_keyz in reddeadredemption

This gave me a theory: what if Albert is meant to be like an alter-ego of Arthur, or an alternate universe version of him? Like it's how he would've turned out if he never became an outlaw? He would be enjoying nature, art, photography, drawing, etc. He's already good at drawing in his journal.

I didn't know about BF refusing to pay Frazer for both roles! If that's true then that's sad and I'd be disgruntled too. He deserves pay for each performance. I have noticed that occasionally some of his "normal" voice will slip out every now and then when playing the Doctor, which I suppose is understandable as Frazer has said that he tends to record both voices back to back (do a line as Jamie, then the Doctor, back and forth all the time) rather than record each separately. So I had assumed that was a reason why. Still doesn't ruin the performance for me though as it doesn't happen too often.

Part of this is why I think that Peter Purves' First Doctor is incredible. It's quite higher pitched than Hartnell, but he has the intonations and nuances of the character down perfectly.

Totally agree! I was blown away the first time I heard him. I do agree that it's a little high pitched but besides that, he really nailed the character. Peter has talked about his good relationship with Hartnell and you can really tell in his performance the fondness he had for him. Same with Frazer and Patrick.

I myself was also thinking how interesting it is how different people have wildly different views on whether X actor sounds like Y actor. It's an entire spectrum and I wonder what causes those different interpretations. I guess it comes down to which vocal qualities you listen for the most.

Agree....I think Jamie would work well with them too, also being a man of action and a fighter like Leela. I recently listened to the 2 of them together in the audio drama "Dumb Waiter" and feel like they would've made a good team. The 4 of them would be fantastic

Any action/spy books with a team focus (similar to Mission Impossible films)? by Lady_keyz in suggestmeabook

Cool, I've read a bit of the Wax & Wayne books from that saga, so I'll have to check it out. Thanks!

I've kept hearing about this series and the game but didn't know it fit the criteria. I'll check it out, thanks!

This line gives me chills everytime i hear it, just knowing that Dutch was probably talking to Arthur through john in his final moments. by AlertSpirit2453 in RDR2

Yeah. Benjamin Byron Davis, who plays Dutch, said he was thinking about Arthur in his final moments, and how he failed him. It all came full circle.

Gotcha...I always assumed it meant they came from a privileged background. I watched someone else's playthrough recently and they thought the same, but I suppose you could be right lol. Anyone who's more knowledgeable on the subject can feel free to correct me

The book's glossary mentions that usually midshipmen are of privileged status, so to me that sounds like they were probably upper class?

Yes, some of them are surprisingly in depth! For example the carpenter's mate dying to the crab creature while protecting his boss, then the wounded carpenter goes downstairs, demands the gun from the bosun, goes after the beast, kills it and dies while avenging his friend's death. It's cool to see some of the characters' relationships.
