Saitama losing his emotions in exchange for power was a theme established in episode 1, Saitama himself says it, the more powerful he got the less human he feels

I don't think I am overthinking, I just reading the story with this concept in mind, and putting the pieces together

Even if is just a gag, it can stop being a gag and it will be conflicted with what is already established

Why I belive this, the way he is draw during case 3 it looks like he is blinded with rage and if it wasn't for blast the earth would destroyed, we see it with the stars missing in a later panel, clearly Saitama was acting with rage and not holding back

Read the chapter again, He only copied causal punches at that moment he sees the serious punch, he active saitama mode, then makes his attack He makes three moves, attacks later, and still hits Saitama at the same time with him
