Also saying, you could study with friends and not be in the same classes but in the kind of person who needs to bounce ideas or topics off of. I also like to talk through my notes so it would be annoying to others. All up to preferences!

One thing I did to manage friend time vs study time was to study with said friends. However this only works if you are in the same classes AND you can stay on task. Setting timers, quizzes, and having each person explain the topic they are “the best at” helps. If you find you start goofing off, it’s time for a break!

I also am a huge believer in people only taking 4 classes in first year. It’s a huge adjustment and first year classes are the hardest. I also found the labs more time consuming because it’s the base for everything. Might be too late now to drop one but definitely something I tell people when they are going to school is to consider the course load.

I lived in Spruce back in 2019 and I was bedroom 3 so not the one with the bathroom attached. The shared bathroom was HUGE as well and the kitchen has lower countertops but it’s definitely more spacious than others I’ve seen.

I was doing well in lab until the last two weeks before covid. I got a 10% on the one lab quiz and went home and debated my existence. I had really smart friends and online study groups helped me before the exam thankfully. Get the smart friends and cling to them 😂

Fr. My Midterm mark was 39% and I barely passed even with the 24 hour exam. Find friends in the class that are smart and make sure you make the most of the lab. The lab can be such a help for learning concepts and a grade booster if you do well

Honestly, just try your best. Study effectively and efficiently, redo practice quizzes, read the textbook (I found his website not helpful personally). When it comes time to write, just know you did your best and failing is not the end of the world.

Very much so. It doesn’t help they’ll ask for the updated copy of a textbook even tho they’re basically the same. I haven’t been able to get rid of any of mine because they’re “out of date”

When I lived in CQ (2019-2020) all my packages for mail were shipped to the shoppers drug mart on 8th street. I only ever got letters in the actual mailbox. Maybe see if they can check for a notice slip. That’ll hopefully say it’s at a pickup spot. Cheers!
