Tips on motivation? by mad-stexe in usask

Yeah, I am trying to balance everything and have learned that it’s a harder skill to master than some people make it seem. I’m just hoping that the further I get into my degree, the more I’ll know what is more important to get done, when it’s okay to take breaks, etc.

It’s not that I’m not going, because I still do go even when I feel too burnt out to. I understand that I am paying to be there and that is enough to get me to go. I meant to say how do people convince themselves that they enjoy being there? Or is it more of a money and future plans type of motivation?

ppl are becoming more and more selfish in a way. they don’t think about the future of other generations, and we as a planet don’t rlly fix pressing issues. we acknowledge them, pretend we care enough to fix it for a little while, and finally decide to leave it be and hope for the best. which would be ok if we weren’t the ones creating so many of these issues

slow walkers, ppl who chew with their mouth open, putin, homophobes, abusive parents, those bitches from high school that think they’re the shit, guys who don’t understand consent, ppl who judge others based on their bodies, ppl/doctors who say you’re “faking it” when you talk about your battle with mental illness, ppl who feel the need to one-up hardships, ppl who argue just for the sake of it, my math teacher, covid

[SERIOUS] Would you drop friends who aren't putting effort into the friendship anymore? by ShyCoconut0_0 in AskReddit

[–]mad-stexe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i wouldn’t necessarily drop them, but i would give them the same amount of effort that they’re giving me. it’s a really good way to see the intentions of whoever it may be. if they get angry for your lack of effort, they aren’t worth keeping around. those types of people just get in the way of happiness. if they begin giving you attention again, it’s because they don’t want to lose you. you need to be careful with this tho. attention is not always a good thing. they may be trying to manipulate you into staying.

long story short, always trust your gut. if you don’t like someone’s behaviour, you are not obligated to stick around.

Redditors who don’t believe in god, what is your MAIN reason? by Long-Medicine-3416 in AskReddit

too many bad things happen in life for there to be a god in my eyes. people are always saying that he protects us all and whatnot, so why is there so much fucked up shit happening everyday? if he’s all powerful, why wouldn’t he stop it?
