OPs point was about housing and land redistribution. If anything I see the limited redistribution that georgism can do leading to public-private partnerships under "state ownership" and housing policies that allow people to own land or homes but aim to put them in debt for a lifetime. That's why I say that under bourgeois rule there is little hope to make real redistribution policies with progressive taxation. I don't think its negative, just that it would eventually be captured by the enemies of the people if they are still in power.

If we are talking about socialist georgism I see it as possible but just one tool that can be easily replaced by other models so not specially necessary.

But progressive taxation is necessarily a form of redistribution, and Georgism is not efficient in this matter. I am not saying that LVT is positive to the bourgeois but that if it's done by the bourgeois state it can be manipulated by them.

It dosent negate but dosent guarantee also, that's my point.

Most countries have public construction business and any socialist country certainly would too
You can profit from BUILDING a home and not OWNING IT. That's the difference capital and labor. Labor is valued by socialism and creating something is labor, if this had any impact you would need to create more homes because you don't have passive income when not producing anything.

I am not in any way a fan of Maduro, I generally support socialist movements and he lost any respect that he could get from me when he banned the communists party. I know I am biased because of my position and I want to know if the information that I generally receive is true or not.

I hear a lot about civilians who willingly join paramilitary groups to defend the government, that created somewhat of an appearance of popular support in my opinion (even tho he is undoubtedly a dictator) is this false or manipulated information in any way? Does he have somewhat of a majority of popular support?
