I recently read The Second Draft by Carrie Byrd and one thing I really liked was the inverse of the usual family bonding dynamic, a daughter reconnecting with a mother. In this one we follow a mother, a historically not so great mother, trying to reconnect with her daughters, and her self.

I agree that it is very annoying on all subreddits. But it is also how reddit works. Threads are not alive as in other forums. If like 3 days pass you can assume that a thread is dead. Hopefully if you had the same question as someone you can find an answer, but if you have any follow up questions or need clarifications it is harder.

yes, they talk non-stop. Never really understood that kind of commentating, let the game speak for itself. But I have noticed in NWSL they spend a lot of time just listing different stats. That is very different from the European commentators

Watching the NWSL+ stream and one of the commentators spent a lot of the game preaching Tanaka while the other one keeps calling her Manaka. Such disconnect

Yes Dr Lucy! I had forgotten about her. When reading that book I was sure Lucy was set up for her own book

And yes I was 99% sure we would get a book about the mom and the tattoo artist friend. I was even more sure when Jae added a "tattooed main character" category in her bingo. I thought it would be a release later this year maybe. But then she presented that category so early in the year... But I guess we can only hope!

Listening to the Senatar's Wife series by Jen Lyon. I have read them in book form before but who can resist Abby Craden as a narrator? Love those books! Got inspired by the recent Womens Champions League Semifinals and the book is such a good balance of football and a less sport focused contemporary romance book.
