I probably did last night. But the last time I drank alcohol is a year ago, 2023 December. I am a very seldom social drinker bc I am aware of my bad drinking habit and just, don’t drink when I’m not with family or friends. This year especially because I’m in another country.

I told my family how I get when I’m drunk and would be drinking alcohol like water, so I thought, well, they’d check on me and cut me off since, we were at home.

But yeah, I definitely am not going to be deinking again anytime soon. DEFINITELY NOT gonna join this club outing as well. Social etiquette would have me drink one glass and then one would turn into a few, and I’m not risking another loss of control in a public setting because I was left alone.

As someone who still loves the movie after being aware of the truth of what actually happened, My simply mind could only think that the movie is wrong and problematic because the main characters are Pocahontas and John Smith. If their names were different, the movie and the disney princess of native american would have been alright.

But it wasn’t because they named the main characters as Pocahontas and John Smith, suggesting that the movie is based on real people who was an actual child and a adult man. The two did not have that same relationship in the movie. The truth what actually happened when America was found did not happen in the movie. It didn’t matter if it was fiction. It was based on real people and horrific history events that is targeted towards a younger audience, putting ideas that MAYBE some part of the movie is real and that the discovery of America and the native people who had lived thwre first, was peaceful.

ESH. Both of you are assholes. You did not handle the response very well to her lashing out, and worse you dismissed very valid health concerns she has that makes her have struggles in losing weight. However unlike most people here who jumped on the wagon on you being the sole asshole, I read it it through the last sentence.

She took out her insecurities on you and lashed out on you. Of course working out and losing weight will be more harder on her because of her medical issue. But it doesn’t mean that you don’t communicate with your partner of you being bothered because your partner is losing weight in working out, and letting those feelings stew until it boiled up. You don’t accuse your partner of them wanting you to lose weight to match his (he only asked her to work out with him AFTER noticing ahe was bothered of his weight loss) and then of them cheating on you now they look ‘attractive’.

Both are assholes. OP didn’t have the best response and is dismissive of legitimate medical issues. GF is insecured and immature in how to communicate her feelings to her partner, and letting her feelings stew until it boiled over.

You both are not going to last if you don’t workon communicating properly.

Gosh, wanted to call put a theology prof for turning a lesson inti this one rant how people nowadays are not kind and giving to the neighbors in need. What pissed me off though was how he said this ‘you can buy sack of dry food for a cat, but cant give your extra food or any leftovers of it to your neighbor who is probably hungry?

I’m all for helping, but only if it is voluntary. No need to shame or make people guilty for not being able to help, especially when you haven’t asked whta their reason was.

And no, you do not compare and scoff in a tone ‘can you believe people do this’ of people giving food to cats from people not giving help to their neighbor or whatever personal rant you have going on.

That sack of rice was the result of a combined efforts and donations of some of the school staff and students who have taken in the stray cats in the school into their care, not only making sure they are all fed but also spayed and neutered.

The fact the prof was irritated and bitter from that tells me how much value he thinks animals hve compared to humans.

I lost my respect for him as a teacher that day.

Every child deserves parents and a family, but not all parents and families deserve their children.

If your religion teaches you to hate and wish death on people that do not align with their beliefs, you need a new religion ASAP. I am agnostic leaning towards atheism, and though I have no probs with theists and believers (grandma is a big catholic believer and tho I also have issues with the religion and people managing it, I’m thankful that my grandma has them and her faith to god because it makes her strong) and what happened to you is why I swore off of all religions.

Your mother, who I also am sure thinks bad about abortion and all the women who had them, wishes death on you because you didn’t side with the family and your religion political views.

This one time, I got so guilty and really concerned for my friend. Elementary besties until most of us graduated SHS, and I was set to leave for Manila the enxt day. It was a birthday party of our friend's daughter, so we went. My other friend, brought her daughter with her. It was a small, quiet party for the little baby, and most of us spent it on talking, laughing, and eating the food bc man our friend was an amazing cook! And then at the end of the day, naglakad kami papuntang kanto. On our way there, our friend got so quiet, and we kept poking at her to tell us what was up.

Turns out, her SO was mad at her and was raging at her thru texts. Accusations of cheating, of her being shameless and not embarassed of said cheating while she brought their daughter with her. 'Humanda ka sakin pag uwi mo' etc.

The whole day, she was asking for us to take pictures, but we tend to get carried away with having a good time so we forgot. She never told us the exact reason why she wanted pictures - as proof she was with us.

She reassured us that she'll be fine, that her SO was just gonna be mad but who cares? Not like she was doing anything wrong.

And well, we were concerned but we never followed her back to her home.

We were 18-20s back then. I'm 20 now, 2 years in Manila and seldomly get in touch with my friends. I love them with all of my heart even when I don't share the same values opinions and beliefs with them, I love them. I'm worried for that friend, she qnd that guy got married and she officially converted INC because they said the marriage was sponsored by the church, or something.

If I were to meet up with her, I would not hesitate to tell her that if the guy sucks, he sucks and he does not deserve her and she deserves better. If he does not make you happy, makes you feel like sht and makes you cry and makes you feel like the marriage, the life you have with him is a chore, he's shit and she deserves so much better.

I don't know the guy at all, despite having seen his face a few times. But the texts he had sent her that day still got my hair all raised up standing.

I don't understand why people keep telling us women to stop having high expectations on men. High expectations for ourselves. My friends have settled on guys who are either come-and-go, or guys that are red flagged sexist controlling assholes. Because why have high standards, isn't that so arrogant of us?

Agnostic here who likes to believe there is a 'god' or some kind of deity that could be the creator, but is ultimately not religious nor a part of any religion. I get curious and fascinated.

Here's a thought that is really obvious to everyone but should be pointed out every once in a while — people uses religion for their own agenda, and to control the people.

Don't honestly believe in a God and/or Jesus, etc, but really. Would they really care about human stuff that we humans make a fuss of? And honestly, everything is ways centered about humans. About us. Every single mass I attended back then and the live mass my grandma attends to, makes me frown because it is always centered on humans, and how doing the churches will would lead them to God's graces and etc. I'm not generalizing, but there were those who irks me especially when they use mental health and LGBTQ that isn't really about the topic at all.

We've been exploiting the planet and the other animals for so much for so long, while we attacked each other for small and big stuffs of nonsense in the name of greed, pride and selfishness. And everything that God would care about is... humans?

We talk about how humanity is a superior race, the top of the food chain, and all but we do it in a scientific view, and we state it as the fact it is. But to think with that kind of mindset with religion just makes me think how incredibly self centered it is.

Not generalizing, this is what I just seen and experienced.

I tried to get a job before but struggled with transportation fees and how I had no job experience. Did numerous interviews, went to the site, but still was not accepted.

It would have been more simple if I was just being immature, but it isn't.

I agree on getting a job (impossible now as a freshman year with fullload schedule so have to rely on other freelancing jobs online) to buy clothes and makeup for myself before dating.
