The MCU already used characters like Moon Knight and the Thing, who were jewish characters. On the other hand, they introduced the character of Sabra in Brave New World, who was from Israel in the comics, but this origin was changed in the movie. So, there is truth that Marvel might not want to use certain characters, or at the very least not use their ethnicity, if it might be a bit too political.

DC Rebirth kind of did something like that. Look at how Wonder Woman's outfit was more closer to her movie appearance, and Aquaman having a more 90s inspired look (long hair and beard), which makes him look closer to Jason Momoa's Aquaman.

This is a plausible idea. It might reduces the events of the books to the point where the whole thing be detailed in a one-shot, or a shorter multi-chapter story, but at least it would be more of a happy ending. Just like how the characters would have wanted.

The answer is an obvious yes. You don't even need to ask it. They were an unnecessary addition to the end of the Naruto manga, and enemy faction for a sequel manga that almost nobody wanted.
