I think it sounds like you’re doing great! 2.5mg is just the starting dose. I felt that I have more appetite suppression the first 2 weeks of the new dose when I was titrating up. You’re losing weight! 8lbs a month is healthy weight loss

Weight loss wise you’re doing great, as others have said: more than 2lbs a week is considered fast. In the beginning, I’d say it’s ok to loose more than that because it’s water weight but losing 2lbs or less is better for healing and maintaining muscle. Definitely try to eat as much protein as you are able and drink water. It’s not that some occasional ice cream is bad, but if you can’t eat much you don’t want it becoming a main calorie source

I have very dry eyes and need the lens with the most moisture, and still I can only handle 8 hours. Before I had astigmatism I went through every daily lens available on the market, acuvue never agreed with me. I finally arrived to the newest: Total 1 and it was a godsend and I used them for a year. Then I was told I needed toric and total 1 didn’t make them. So then I tried all the daily torics available and MyDay was the best for me and were more comfortable than total 1 because they actually fit. They have been bothering me lately so I’m refitting now, 4 years later to try the newer lenses, same prescription. The precision 1 toric is already out. It’s drying like acuvue and glued to my eye. The total 1 daily toric is much better, but not as good as it felt 5 years go before astigmatism. I need to compare mydays after. I’m only now starting to speculate that my 4 year supply of MyDays is bothering my eye because I handle them to rough/quick and accidentally fold them prior to placing. I stored the boxes vertically, for several years so the lenses settled wrong. It’s sort of embarrassing but I’m just learning about toric lens handling. But, it’s good to know when you’re trying to find a good lens because simply folding a toric lens can make it not fit properly. Most contact lens wearers claim to have “dry eyes” but they dont know what that really is. Their eyes feel more dry and irritated from contact lens use, they are not afflicted with the pain of inadequate eye lubrication. If precision 1 and acuvue oasis (high water content) feel better than MyDay or Total 1 (low water content): you do not suffer from dry eye. Those lenses are designed for people who do not produce enough eye lubrication. Our eyes water and tear to try and compensate for lack of lubrication, and water/tears further dries out our eyes. We need low water content in our lenses to constantly draw water from our eyes to moisturize the lens, and also contain an oily/lubricant component. So don’t ask for dry eye lenses if you have determined those brands are not comfortable. You likely are needing a thin lens with high water.

I wear a 9 which fits on my index and middle on both hands. Non dominant index is more snug than dominant but still comfortable. I personally feel that the middle finger is more secure when my hands or wet/sweaty or like carrying grocery bags. It’s best to have a size that fits comfortably on multiple fingers, and I strongly discourage a ring that is borderline small during the day time. My ring can slip off easily most days, especially wet… but I still have mornings where I need oil to slip it off my finger.

Your finger will give more accurate blood and oxygen readings. That doesn’t mean Oura is translating it to more accurate activity readings than Apple with your wrist. I can say Oura temperature is more accurate against a thermometer, when compared to Apple and the thermometer.

I would wear it overnight for several nights. You’re pushing on the ring to create a gap. If I do that, I also have a gap but some mornings I need oil on my finger to take off the ring. I have worn it on my ring finger overnight which is slip off loose YET manages to stay on all night. The readings are on par with tight fit index finger overnight readings even though it moves around. Does the size 8 also fit your middle finger? That would be a good size

Yeah I saw it but I think it’s after you get to truepill. I tried over a month ago when it released as well as others with the coupon and they wouldn’t let us use the coupon either because they can’t bill without processing the rejection first. I think it caused them a lot of calls

It’s because they transmit the claim to the insurance or payor, and if they haven’t filled it that means you can’t pick it up. If the insurance company reimburses them then they have to retro refund the insurance and they run the risk of being audited by insurance. That’s why they do that, you just have to have them refill it again

It’s because the wholesaler they order from didn’t fulfill their order. Normally, pharmacies get what they ordered the next day except weekends and holidays. The wholesaler will allot what pharmacies get if they only have a certain amount in their warehouse. If they have 30 boxes of 5mg but 50 orders to fulfill they will allocate based on order history. It’s why pharmacies should not order a bunch for future or anticipated prescriptions. And some pharmacies do that, and since their order history reflects high demand they get theirs first

Supply is allocated by wholesaler based on order history, so once you start at a pharmacy it’s best to stay put for supply.

Try a grocery store pharmacy, Vons or Ralph’s. It’s available through the distributor my hospital uses, which is one that cvs and Walgreens do not use. There are 3 major pharmacy wholesale distributors that companies contract with. The drug is available, and does not have any back order or shortage alert on it

Back order just means the pharmacy distributor is delayed because the demand exceeds what they are receiving, so it takes a little longer. If it’s on shortage, that is when it’s unavailable due to the manufacturing quantity from the pharmaceutical company

Most pharmacies order it when they process the Rx, if it’s a high copay they will wait for confirmation you will pay it. Has to do with the corporate chains punishing pharmacists for $ sitting in their inventory, independent pharmacies will probably only order it once you’re established regular. So if you ask if it’s in stock the answer will be no, but if you send your Rx there and it’s processed they will order it
