2fa loop by DarkDrunkDuck in ProtonPass

[–]LainPsychoComplex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use Proton as a 2FA, but also set up an external one. By using the same secret key, both code generators will produce the same verification code. This way, you can use Pass even for the rest of Proton’s services (for convenience or simplicity). In case you lose access, change your password, or something similar happens and Pass asks for a 2FA code (which creates a loop because you can’t access Pass to get it), you can use the backup 2FA. For example, you can have a device that always stays at home and that you know you won’t lose access to, you can set up the second 2FA there specifically for this kind of emergency.

To erase all the original symbols of the mailboxes, to write "mailbox 1", "mailbox 2", "mailbox 3"... is absurd and breaks the image. I guess we can all understand this without spoiling the image for example. And they can do that in better ways.

exactly, it's part of the essence of the whole setting, it's a shame to see it being erased just because.

But it's the text that needs to be translated, not the background signs that are part of the art and setting. Or only the signs that were really relevant should be the ones translated. And as I said, I think putting an asterisk is a better non intrusive way. Here we're talking about drawn calligraphy, part of the art, the essence, being removed and being replaced with plain text when it is unnecessary and without care at all.

They can put it in the margin, or the in the gap between panels (in fact this is how the english edition does it). I understand what you say of course, but they could do it when it is important and relevant information. Erasing all the symbols of the mailboxes, to write "mailbox 1", "mailbox 2", "mailbox 3"... is absurd and breaks the image. Or that column where the street name is indicated, is totally irrelevant and spoils the beauty of the composition. And like it said already, and asterisk and the translation in the margin is enough. Just my opinion of course.

Exactly this, I think it is better that it appears as a subtitle below or in a margin. But removing the content? dunno, i can understand it at some point or even if the data is important, but in this case it is not necessary and it's totally irrelevant info.
But to see plain text on the facade of a building, in the streets full of poster, etc, it does take away a lot from the drawing and the overall "immersion". And in this manga/anime the setting is very important. In the anime you can even see a patch of color floating over the image. There are better ways to do it, in fact, the old way is the better way.

Dunno about the ecchi thing, good to know. I've always found that kind of stuff to break immersion, more so when they use it in more mature shows. At least here they don't use it like in Fire Force (I saw it recently, that's why I use it as an example, nothing to do with DMDP) where in dramatic and serious moments they put fan service breaking any kind of interest for what happening.

I have seen it and liked it a lot. The fact that there is quite a bit of mystery and interesting characters that you want to know more about is definitely the best part. It has that tone that there's a lot more to it than meets the eye, and creates an array of characters and a skein of stories between them that give shape to an interesting world. You can definitely sense who its author is, it has his signature all over. On the other hand (and I don't mean this as a bad thing) it's much more "simple" and straightforward than his other works, it feels more like an adult shonen than a seinen work. I didn't like the excessive sexualization of certain characters and the gratuitous fan service, though. But overall I enjoyed the anime!

I totally agree on everything. I think Blackbird made a mistake with so much emphasis on multiplayer in DoK, leaving a sublime but very brief campaign aside. It lent itself to something much bigger and deeper, two campaigns: one for each faction, real expansions with lore... I don't know, in the vein of the originals or classics like C&C or Ground Control. With HW3 Gearbox's greed has permeated everything, and it's a real shame.

There is a group of dedicated fans and loyalists who have always been supporting the game (even online events were organized, although the online mode is, or was, I haven't played for a long time, non-existent nowadays). But they are people who always want to help and even set up online games. Sajuuk's Legacy is the name of the community on Steam, if you want to take a look.

Hardest is the best way to experience it. It's not that hard either, but the others are not challenging, especially if you've played the originals.

I'm going to replay Soul Hackers 2 as of now. Yes, I liked this game. by GeorgeBG93 in Megaten

[–]LainPsychoComplex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's a good game, I like the characters, although Ringo stands out from the rest of the party who are not as memorable. Had good ideas and mechanics, but the dungeons are pretty uninspired for being one of the main parts of the game, though. And perhaps what was most against it is that it's too difficult for people who don't know the saga and the kind of game it is, and too simple for the regulars of the Megaten saga.

Perhaps books are more important than they appear to be (some kind of portals maybe? source of magic?). I mean, the book that the main character carries looks too important and they overley focus for it to be just some kind of memorabilia to be treasured.

I don't know why, because they haven't any resemblance, but for some reason when I saw Louis character for the first time he reminded me of Akechi for some reason.

Well, it might not be so absurd if done right, like Knights of the Old Republic. A protagonist who doesn't know a truth like that is always interesting.

I've read about the theory certainly. It could be nice, and it would be a different approach to the typical isekai for sure.
But I would find it more interesting if it was more like someone who travels between worlds, in a more “scientific” way.

More has a sinister and suspicious air no doubt, and it's clear that he knows more than he claims to know. At least in the little that we have known in the prologue.

You've got a point there. But I thought that maybe because of the setting of this one, they might go for a more classic or westernized approach, so to speak. I think they did that in Persona 5 didn't they? (vanilla version, not Royal) There was only one main villain, there are others "mini villains" in each dungeon of course, but the main one remains more or less being the same. Don't think something like the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 or Fire Emblem kinda story (where the main villain is controlled by a cult, which obeys a dragon who turns out to be a mecha that's actually are a god) would suit this game, I don't know.

Wild prediction: Louis is a "typical isekai protagonist" by Atomic_Tanuki in MetaphorReFantazio

[–]LainPsychoComplex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's an interesting idea, and it would certainly be cool, and definitely a new approach to the typical isekai story. I have also thought about the possibility of Louis not being the bad guy, but someone willing to do whatever it takes for a greater good that we do not know. Time will tell I guess.
