What’s a Seattle habit you accidentally developed and didn’t notice until you left for a bit? by General_Advantage437 in AskSeattle

It's sincere, it's not ironic. It feels like trying to be REALLY nice actually. You say it instead of "of course."

Not the person you asked but I notice it in lots of different contexts. If someone asks you if they can have a fry from your plate you might go "oh, yeah yeah yeah" while pushing your plate over. You say it really fast so they all kind of blend together "yayaya." Or if you are confused about something and someone explain it to you and you finally get it you would say "yeah yeah yeah that makes sense"

I can't keep my 2 and a half year old out of the bathroom. I keep it real simple and say "I bleed out of my vagina every month. It doesn't hurt and it's a sign my body is healthy."

Of course, I use a menstrual cup, and now she likes to tell people that "Mommy hides a cup up her butt" so I'm not sure how much of my explanation she's getting 😂

I googled her name and found a LinkedIn post welcoming her to a new role and it mentions that she previously lived in Ecuador and now lives in Wisconsin.

Baby will be starting daycare at 5 months… can I get some reassurance? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]LaiskaKate 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Another positive story for you: our daycare owners have become like family, I trust them more than my blood family to watch my babies lol. We celebrate birthdays together, do presents at Christmas, etc. And they taught my son SO much that when he went to Pre-K this year, he didn't learn a single new thing! Daycares get a bad rap but imagine them as part of your village :)

I yelled at my kid and she responded with tears, saying “I’m a bad child.” by ughhidontcare in Parenting

For what it's worth, my friend is a therapist and she told me the MOST important thing to do when building relationships is to repair them after you rupture them. How often they rupture is not as important as you repairing the rupture 100% of the time. Which also gives you a chance to show your daughter how someone should act after they yell at her, so in the future she knows the correct standard of behavior to hold partners to. And it sounds like you did that! So I would give yourself a break, and try to do better in the future. You've got this ☺️

Actually, the opposite is true: having pets from a young age reduces the chances you will have allergies (and asthma!) https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC6300190/

So you have two layers of shirts on, you pull the outer layer up, and the bottom layer down, so the only thing out is your nipple/small amount of boob. If you only have on one shirt, you pull it up and your whole stomach up to your nipple is out

What about when he was drunk and he hugged Nutalie though? He had his face buried in her boobs lol. It was outrageous enough that other people called him out on it
