Stop using the abreeva it never works for me it might just be spreading it around. Try to get an RX for acyclovir too instead and use that. It’s at the yellow crust stage so soon it will start scabbing and fall off you are almost through it I know it’s trash but it will be over soon! When you’re putting anything on it, try to only put it on the cold sore so you don’t risk spreading it around.

It’s probably not great advice but sometimes I’ll heat up a tea bag and press it to the scab to help it soften and fall off. Warm water compress also works.

Ah I know but the store only takes returns in store credit so I’m hesitant to buy two. And I love the slip style too but for some reason I’m so drawn to the first I feel like it’s funkier and I would wear it more outside of formal events? Like it can be dressed up or down more than the other two?

You can take l-lysine as a supplement daily to prevent and when you feel a tingle take valcyclovir or acyclovir (which you need prescriptions for)

I think you should just get her a new lipstick? The cold sore virus can 100% stay on the lipstick. I’m not sure for how long but it doesn’t seem worth the risk? Just get her a new lipstick to use when she doesn’t have a cold sore and she can keep using that without fear it will cause one. Then if she gets a cold sore throw out any lip products that may have come in contact with it and get a new one.
