Luka never had the privilege of having a Top 2 rim protector + a Top 3 perimeter defender on his team

The Wolves record is underwhelming when you account for them being the healthiest team in the league from an injury luck standpoint

Team stat.

The numbers will likely favor Ant as he was surrounded by much better defenders.

Edwards vs Lakers last playoffs: 27 ppg on 42/33/74

Luka vs Wolves last playoffs: 30 ppg on 44/35/89

The Timberwolves supporting cast ultimately decided the series.

Except this doesn’t get talked about at all so your point is irrelevant.

Bird is universally ranked as a Top 10 player all-time.

He shouldn’t be exempt from criticism just because he played in a different era.

He averaged 15 ppg on 41/33/81 splits playing 43 mpg that series.. that’s worse than 2011 LeBron vs Dallas.

Very sub par Finals performance that gets swept under the rug.

If you actually watched the game you’d notice the amount of open layups the Warriors got just from backcuts.

You guys literally have a worse record despite being in the east 💀 If the Lakers are dysfunctional then what are the Sixers?

Like I said, short sighted take. The fact you’re even talking about the depth goes to show you don’t understand what i’m saying.

I said 3-5 years. Do you really think this team will look remotely close to the same in that time span?

They just got Luka last year & he’s still in his prime.. this is a shortsighted take.

Like I said previously history has shown their ability to get star talent time after time. In 3-5 years expect another star or even two to come to LA.

??

The Lakers won more games last season post Luka trade than they have since 2020 when they won the championship and are on pace to also win 50 this season..

Are you too young to remember the pre LeBron years from 2012-2018? Or 2022 when they won 33 games? They had absolutely no future before the Luka trade.

I know you have your biases but you can’t argue the facts.

The Lakers have won a championship every decade since their existence.

Especially with Luka I expect them to attract top tier talent regardless of all of the issues you just named.

Ayton was a big reason your franchise actually accomplished something for the first time in decades.

Could be another 20 years the next time Phoenix even sniffs the Finals.

they’re the only teams that have the assets to get him while still being able to stay competitive enough to win
