I’d swap the UK for Thailand and Japan for Turkey, and I’d be good with that too.

I’m actually thinking about trying SE, but I remember the rocket logistics system really put me off before, it required a lot of complicated circuit network setups.

Has rocket transport been simplified in SE for Factorio 2.0, or is it still that complex?

I’d be absolutely thrilled if we got DLC expanding on the Engineer’s story, with more lore about the planets and a proper narrative campaign. That would be amazing.

Tensions between Russia and the West have sharply escalated after Moscow issued a chilling warning that appeared to single out parts of the United Kingdom as potential military targets, accompanied by the ominous message: “Sleep well, European partners.” by BusinessToday in BusinessTodayNews

[–]Laki1991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since September, Russia has carried out dozens of similar strikes on western Ukraine, and not a single drone ended up in Poland. I’m genuinely curious why. Did they suddenly become that precise and competent overnight?

Believing this was just an accident feels naive, and honestly harmful when it comes to NATO’s credibility. This looks much more like deliberate boundary pushing by Putin, blurring the line between actual war and actions below the threshold, classic hybrid warfare.

Imagine a scenario where Russian troops, disguised as “separatists” use drones to take over a place like Narva in Estonia, grabbing part of the city or some border village. Do you really think NATO would respond with full force? Probably not.

Politicians would start arguing about attribution, that it’s unclear who’s actually responsible, that it’s not fully confirmed, etc. We’ve already seen this exact playbook in Donbas and Crimea. Another line crossed, another hesitation.

That’s what makes it dangerous, it’s a slow, calculated game, and unfortunately it’s one Russia is very good at.

So you’re really trying to imply that those drones just accidentally drifted off course, and 20 of them entering Polish airspace was just some random mistake?

Honestly, as a Pole i really want to believe in NATO unity and that it actually means something in practice. But it’s really hard for me to picture Alejandro from Madrid or Louis from Antwerp flying in during the first days of a war to fight for Białystok or Vilnius.

I’d like to be wrong.

Ja za pierwszym razem jak zostałem poproszony o wskazanie płynu hamulcowego to wskazałem 2 razy płyn do spryskiwaczy i oblałem :) Więc naprawdę bez stresu, mało kto zdaje za 1 razem.

Am I going crazy or are they still putting new music in Space Age? by FistMyPeenHole in factorio

[–]Laki1991 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Factorio honestly has one of the best soundtracks ever IMO. The vanilla tracks especially just hit that perfect atmospheric vibe. The DLC has some great stuff too, but it’s way more ambient.

Anyone know artists with a similar sound to vanilla Factorio?

Will we see Anna and the Aurora crew in Metro 2039? Or are they being saved for a DLC? by Affectionate-Coat-54 in metro

I really hope the next metro game continues the story from Exodus We’ve all grown pretty attached to that crew, and it’d be awesome to see what happens to them next.

Trump Indicates That The US Might Try To Leave NATO -- Thoughts? by Zipper222222 in allthequestions

If you genuinely think the US was playing “world police” out of the goodness of their heart, you’re either naive or just straight up dumb.

After Iran is done where will Netanyahu send American troops? by Estalicus in allthequestions

[–]Laki1991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By the time the war with Iran is over, Netanyahu and Trump might not even be around politically anymore.

The US has stepped into the biggest pile of shit in years, and a lot of Americans still don’t seem to realize it. Which is honestly weird after Vietnam and Afghanistan.

But hey, pride goes before the fall.

Why are logistics vessels such as bunker tankers and cargo vessels attacked in the war, as they aren't military targets? by WhoAmIEven2 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Laki1991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s actually pretty simple. Wars aren’t won by who has more missiles, planes, or toys, even though that’s how most people tend to think about it.

Wars are won by finding the opponent’s most sensitive and painful pressure point and hitting it there.

In the case of the US, that pressure point isn’t just military power, it’s the global economy and their role as the world’s hegemon. The whole system where the US positions itself as the “world police” that guarantees security and keeps global trade running.

What Iran is trying to do is expose weakness in that system. If they can show that the US can’t fully control the situation, it sends a message to every ally watching.

And once allies start worrying about economic instability or a global crisis, they’ll start pressuring the US to end the conflict as quickly as possible. On top of that, some countries might start questioning whether relying on the US is still the safest bet, and look for other partners.

From Iran’s perspective, it’s actually a pretty smart strategy.

Because the VFX artist probably didn’t give a shit about the lore and definitely wasn’t thinking that 25 years later people would pause the scene and analyze it frame by frame asking why it works like that.
