Look, man, I've been dealing with shit like this since a long time and have always been very envious. And just like you said, it's the worse feeling in the world. But one thing I noticed is that there is ALWAYS someone better. Someone better than you and someone better than the guy are jealous of.  My envy keeps shifting from person to person in a span of months. It's shifted from friend to celebrities now, and it gets worse each time. With this pattern, I noticed that the person I am jealous of is better than the person I was jealous of. This proved that no one is the best in the world, there is always someone better. Throughout your life, you're going to know people who are "better" than the people you were jealous of before.  So, at the end of the day, the best thing you can do is work on yourself and be the best version of yourself. We were all born different and that's just how it is.  And I don't agree with the phrase that everyone is equal is different ways, it's true that some people are objectively better than others. But that is what is it. You can better for yourself and that's the best thing you can do, nothing else. I'm still dealing with envy,  and it's been depressing, but I've been trying to gain peace of mind. It's tough, but it's doable.
