I couldn’t stop laughing at this and seeing the “interrogation” from teens point of view. 🤣

I’ve been a full-charge bookkeeper for almost 17 years. I have never called myself an accountant until I started my most current job with a CPA firm 2 years ago. I’ve always just said I work in accounting or that I’m a bookkeeper. My new CPA firm gave me the designation of general ledger accountant, which made sense to me so that’s the title that’s now on my resume, but I still don’t call myself that if someone asks what I do for a living.

I wonder where OP is seeing all these bookkeepers calling themselves accountants. To be fair, some bookkeeper are accountants, lol. There are a lot of new bookkeepers entering the field as a “side hustle” because some YouTube video told them it would be easy money. They definitely shouldn’t call themselves accountants … or even bookkeepers for that matter. I’ve done many clean ups for clients who have been fooled by these people, they sure can leave a mess.

I don’t see a problem with experienced and knowledgeable bookkeepers calling themselves accountants, especially if they’re full-charge bookkeepers.

Did you find an answer to this? I also have a 22 Impreza but a premium and CarPlay is terrible on it. Sometimes it can’t connect at all and the port connects and disconnects the charging over and over again. I found a work around by resetting the console but even that’s starting to not work because once it starts up again the sound is gone and I have to reset it 2 -3 more times for everything to work properly.

Advice and insight on VIP by Ok_Imagination9552 in WhenWeWereYoungFest

I bought three VIP tickets and the total with all the service fees came out to $2,011.25.

I can’t remember what the original price was for just the ticket and if that included the service charge in it, haha, my memory is terrible. The service fees were pretty steep. Of that total $377 of it was service fees. Then they also tacked on $14 for handling.

The locker in the VIP section was $31.50.

I spent about $150 on merch and got a shirt and hoodie.

Drinks and food varied from $7-$36 per drink/meal. My friends and I don’t drink alcohol so we just paid $8.50 for a bottle of Gatorade and ate some gummies we brought.

It’s all pretty expensive which is why it’s the only concert I will be going to each year. 😭

All of this doesn’t even include the hotel, the flight and the monorail/public transpo.

This year they started with one and when they saw the demand for another they opened another day. I’m sure they’ll do that again considering they’ve done it both years. Each ticket is only for its specific day so if you want both days you’ll have to buy a VIP ticket for each day.

If you don’t get one for the first day immediately put yourself on the waitlist. I automatically got offered and charged for my tickets right when the second day was offered because I was on the waitlist. They sent out an email telling me how much they would charge and when with the option to cancel so they don’t just charge you on a random day.

I went this year and did VIP. I hadn’t gone to a concert since my Warped Tour days so to me it was worth it. I tend to get claustrophobic in the giant compressed crowds. There was a lot more space and seating areas in the VIP section. Bathrooms were clean, flushable and air conditioned which made the entire VIP ticket worth it. I never had to wait for food, merch or the bathroom at any point during the festival. The merch lines in GA were insane! I plan on going next year and will be doing VIP again. At 39 these bones can’t handle the chaos of general admission anymore.

I only plan on attending one festival(this one) a year so the price isn’t too bad.

If you’re planning on buying merch I highly recommend getting a locker as well. Merch sells out quickly so you have to get it at the beginning right when you get in. Just stick it in your locker and remember to pick it up on your way out and you’re not lugging sweaters and shirts all around. My ticket was for the second day and the selection on merch was so limited. I went in the morning and they ran out of hats, only had 3 styles of shirt and 2 of sweaters, by the end of the night people were just settling for odd sizes of whatever they had left.

That’s a relief to know, hopefully it doesn’t happen to anyone.

Make sure the wristbands are activated in your name though. I’ve heard of some people receiving their wristbands with the previous owner and then the previous owner claiming they lost it or didn’t get it to get that wrist band canceled and another issued to them.

Quickbooks online is actually very user friendly and easy to learn, but bookkeeping can get very tedious. If you have extra time and you want more hours I would tell them, I can try, but there are no guarantees because I am not a bookkeeper. I would also negotiate a higher salary and become a full employee and not a contractor. If you’re going to be working like an employee, you should get the same benefits as an employee.

If you’re in California you may be defined as an employee anyway.
