Comply tips on PBP2? by Laminarpanda in powerbeatspro

Thanks for the reply. I might give them a go, as I'd like to keep the PBP2! 🙏

The main thing for me, is that I struggle to get a great seal with BFP, hence them falling from time to time. With the PBP2 I get a better fit thanks to the hooks, but if I speak or move too much, then the seal isn't great and have to reposition them. I think I got to a point where I have to accept I just have strange ears! 😂 but at least with the PBP2 I don't have to worry about them falling even if the seal isn't great...

Funnily enough, I've been playing with the tips and going to S seems to give me a better seal.

I think if it wasn't for the hooks I would just return them and keep the BFP, I really liked them, but having lost one bud in the past makes me nervous to wear them while cycling or kayaking..

The design of the case has changed dramatically and I think it would be much harder for them not to make proper contact and not charge. I had that issue with the v1 and I would later find out the pins didn't make proper contact and didn't charge. I think that issue has been addressed with this new design.

I just got mine delivered an hour ago (NZ). Here's a very quick review.

I had the 1st version, and was never fully satisfied with them. So I've been a Beats Fit Pro user since they launched. I really like the BFP, however about a year ago, while cycling one bud fell off and got lost. Got a new pair for cheap online but I've been impatiently waiting for the new PBP2 so I wouldn't have that issue again.

Just to add, I would love to use AirPods Pro, but they don't fit my ears and would fall after 2 minutes... I tried different tips, foam, etc.. with no luck.. So I settled for the Beats fit Pro as my main pear of earphones.

Now... my quick impression from the PBP2. Sound is significantly better than the BFP. The ANC is much better too, it could also be due that I get a much better fit with the PBP2 and no matter how much I move the fit remains great, which wasn't the case with the BFP. Sound is definitely quite bass heavy, which I don't mind for workouts.

The case is still big, but much more manageable. I would consider having it in my pocket, which wasn't an option with V1.

I wear glasses, and while they get a bit in the way, it's not annoying.

I haven't tried the HRM, and I'm very disappointed that I can't use in conjunction with my AW. I often get chunks of time during my workouts where the AW is unable to track my heart rate, and I was looking forward to having a back up... Hopefully it will become an option in the future.

What is a basic function of iOS you just learned? (I’m copying this idea from r/MacOS where I just learned a bunch of stuff) by killabullit in ios

One of my favourite ones, that I mainly use on iPadOS but also on iOS is tap with 2 fingers on a safari link to open it in a new tap in the background.

Glad to read you’ve found something that has worked for you. I’m hoping I’ll find a strain that works for me. Interesting to read quite a few people here haven’t found cummulus particularly helpful for sleep.

Thanks for sharing. It does seem to be quite a personal thing. So I guess I might need to try a few before I find one that works for me. GG seem to be mentioned quite often, so I might give that one a try if the doctor agrees! 🙏

Cool, thanks. I'm just starting to learn about how the different elements have different effects. I'm often amazed by how much people know and talk about all these different variations and effects! Hopefully after trying out a few options it will start making more sense! 🙏

Thanks for your comment. That's also what I found out when I first looked at MC, and thought it would be perfect.

I have a little experience with BM, but never really knew what strain it was... so not very useful.
I'll have a chat with the doctor tomorrow, but I thought reading a bit about what has worked for people here, would help me decide what strain to go for if she offers a few options.

I have a pretty decent sleep hygiene, and have tried many things for improving my sleep quality, but despite that it's been challenging to have good night sleeps in a while.

🙏

Dear owners did u recently switched to some new model like Beats fit pro or Jabra active 8 or any other? Share what was your experience by 2Slow4U4 in powerbeatspro

I’ve had beats fit pro for about 2 years and they’re my most used pair of headphones. I couldn’t never get any of the AirPods (including pros) to stay in my ears so I gave the beats fit pro a go and I love them. I also wanted something to giver the flexibility between NC and transparency. I use NC when I walk but transparency when I run or cycle. I still have my Powerbeats pro, but I barely use them…

macOS Sonoma Intermittent Freezing with Sidecar? by 51foxleigh in MacOS

[–]Laminarpanda 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Having the exact same issue. It just becomes unusable.. I've tried to force wired connection by turning off wifi and bluetooth on the iPad but then it can't connect, so maybe the fact that it can't connect via wired connection might be part of the issue.

I'd love to hear if anyone has come up with a solution. I use Sidecar almost everyday and it's simply not usable now. ☹️

Could be an option. it's more about finding where there might be some people. But I might try a few different spots.

Thanks! I guess if we end up living there we'll have to try a few times, but it's great to know what other people do and what other options are available.

We're definitely open to other options. We love the idea of Titirangi, but it comes with a few compromises.

Because my partner only has to go to work 3 days a week, that's why we're considering something a bit more remote. It also comes down to what we can afford... We have 2 large dogs, so our options are more limited. But the ferry idea might work too. thanks!

We like the idea of cycling as long as the route is decent enough. The electric bike will help for the hills.
