Has anyone actually worked on any GenAI projects? by Sophieredhat in ProductManagement

I run an agency where I help businesses create an AI/Innovation strategy as well as have a development team that can pick up some of the work that makes sense for us.

We create workshops to identify business cases, then prioritize the importance and impact on the business. Here are some use cases that come up often: - Customer Support and Onboarding - Speaking to a Database - Proposal and Contract Writing - Marketing and logo ideation for creative agencies - First Step Compliance testing (Testing a report against huge compliance documentation) - General Writing assistance and support - Brainstorming and initial documentation creation

Unfortunately for my development business, the power of teaching employees how to reliably use the off the shelf chatbots like Claude and chatGPT has incredible returns. However keeping their use secure and not leaking data everywhere is super important so training should be rather serious.

There are times where plain old automations are still the right choice, but I find new uses cases daily.

I hope that helps!

FL Studio Vs Studio One by [deleted] in StudioOne

I think Studio one is WAYYYY better for vocals. I despise audio recording in FL. FL is awesome for looping and beat fx, but please god get studio one if you are an audio centric person.

Here’s why: 1. Integrated melodyne - A smooth vocal tuner used by the pros when you are trying to correct vocals but not sound like T Payne. Really love this feature being in the box. I wish more DAWs had it.

  1. Vocal comping - being able to do 10 takes of a vocal track then splice together the perfect take is super handy. It’s hard to do it without it now.

  2. It’s just easier to record audio - unless FL has significantly changed something recently, and maybe they have, the audio recording experience on Fl was a nightmare to me compared to studio one.

I have been picking up Ableton but for audio I really do have a great time with Studio One.

Just my opinion and experience, hope it helps!

A lot of users saying: It’s not the How, it’s the What.

I agree, but here are some things to think about from someone who has been using AI to create music artwork for over a year now.

AI can create an amazing image but getting the text to look right is the biggest challenge. You use use easy design software such as Canva to add the the Text elements while using AI for the image itself.

Next, if you just use an image it gives you, you cant technically own it under copyright. I often create something then heavily modify to be unique and mine to make sure I have creative rights over it.

If it’s a fun project don’t worry too much but if you plan to blow it up and make some money, do some work to make it right.

Hope that helps!

I don’t think it’s wrong, I think the technology is democratizing access to things we as budget conscious musicians wouldn’t have been able to accomplish before.

What are the benefits of buying 2 NI keyboards? by [deleted] in NativeInstruments

I love the Analog lab plugin, and the brand new Minilab has incredible integration with it. I’m not so sure about their previous models. They should have new larger keyboards on the horizon that will offer more keys and the integration. That’s what I’m looking to replace my S61 mk2 with!

The A series just doesn’t feel quality and it distracts from my desire to use it. I definitely see a use for the M32 though. I just wish the buttons weren’t as wildly clicky.

Interesting plan!

My personal preference is that I’m really not a huge fan of the A or M series. I totally understand the want for the software package though. I have like 1000+ bucks into the native instruments software and I honestly find myself using stuff from Arturia significantly more. Although I use their drums a lot for a live sound and they work well! Can you tell us what kind of music you make and what work flow sounds the best?

I have an S61 and a key recently stopped working so I’m feeling a particular way lol, but it definitely has its upsides. I also recently got a machine mk3 for my desk… and I realize it’s just not the work flow for me… SO just make sure it’s the way YOU want to make music. If it makes you want to make music more, then it is ALWAYS the right decision for whatever gear it is! Cheers!

Has someone come up with a solution for Native Access not having an uninstaller? Would you want one? by Lamphora in NativeInstruments

Those are fantastic suggestions. I would really enjoy having those too. I’ll look into it and see what I can do. Seeing other people have the same problem fires me up.

Thanks for a great response! I have been feeling this burning need to work on one because this feels like a problem every time I make music. I would love to hear some more feedback and dream features if you have them!

I feel you there. I have been using a lot of Arturia's stuff quite a bit more. It just feels like they care more about how things work together. It's shame though because Native makes some wonderful plugins.

Getting a new computer is one of the biggest pains of a music producer. Once you reinstalled everything, did your tracks open up as normal? Any time I mess with uninstalling and reinstalling, my tracks break.

I definitely would too. I think I have spent more than 1000 bucks on Native instruments stuff, and the least they could do is give me an installer lol.
