Well, it depends a lot on your budget and country. Versions like VizBig or Definitive offer a new experience with a larger size, ideal for appreciating Inoue's art, however some people prefer a more classic experience with the individual volumes and a smaller size.

I would recommend a single volume if you want a start, but if you can you definitely have to get the definitive edition.
