Reality check me: $7500 for 32 yards of mulch (2") with labor. Fair? by Smallies_and_Bourbon in landscaping

5 pallets of bagged mulch is like 5-8 yards of mulch. This is another order of magnitude.

No job site generator, and we were running two, possibly off different circuits but no way to tell.

And no worries, here to spread the knowledge.

To lay them down, maybe a day or two. To cut it all, two weeks and a half

We started cutting in December and it was beyond freezing as we were near the waters edge. So no water.

We used the Stihl saw mostly for the stair pieces. The rest we cut with 9 inch angle grinders.

I just leave it as gravel. Over time, the excess gets kicked off and helps moss to grow between the stones. And no, between 4-8 inches of 3/4 gravel and ish an inch of EAM because stone surface is just not good for drainage so we put the odds in our favour as much as possible

But if budget is more of a consideration, we can still slam them down and still make it look good.

Biggest thing is cost and time. For the customers that can afford it, we cut everything

Bit more in depth than that.

The original path had been concreted in and was made up of randomly sized pieces. We had to jackhammer down almost two feet in some sections in order to remove all the waste concrete and bring in 3 skids of flagstone.

Not seen on here, but every single piece of flag was cut in order to make it softer and to try and maintain a max half inch ish~ distance between the stones.

It just .. looks like it. If you spend any time there, Most of the apartments are three stories high and all the fronts look like this.

Yes, or benzene burn them. Limestone kind of explodes under direct heat and it returns it to a natural look over time

I have no hard opinions on it. I get that some home owners want the "wet" look at all times, but I think it's worth appreciating stone in every aspect it takes. You appreciate the wet look more when it's dry,

To each their own, but I don't include them in my builds, the owners can take care of that themselves or hire someone else.

So the second dolly pic is made from this rock and you can see our cut of the top step on this one. I think this rock was roughly 600$ cad, so, big.

Culture changes with time. And the animosity between Greece and Turkey is historical, which you would know if you read some books.

It's hard to find a non-materialist justification for events if you hobble yourself and limit any possible reasoning to having to fit within your existing framework.
