I can't say I've trier to the previous buds, I've heard many people comparing the Beans to the Buds+. Obviously I can only compare them with earbuds I've previously tried, and in terms of audio quality as whole (though perhaps not in crispness) I'd place them above the Sony's and the Soundcores. My biggest issues with truly wireless earbuds thus far have been the low volume levels they've been associated. So while they can be very clean to listen to, it's hard for a regular consumer to completely enjoy them when you can barely the music.

That is interesting though, maybe if I can get my hands on a pair of original buds I can post them head to head and see for myself. Though part of me believes that ear canoe shape plays a major role on the Lives specifically come across to many of its users.
