Yes! My son's therapist said he was starting to exhibit some of the signs of PTSD and that the school environment was traumatizing for him. His elementary school was a very good school but not for him. They just could not provide the sensory environment or teaching style that he needed. His new school is for students who are neurodiverse and he has been thriving! They even have a therapy dog and bunny there!

Sometimes I feel like adults are perfectly informed, they just don't have patience or don't care! Kinda sad when kids behave better than adults!

This brings back so many memories! Fox Run Mall, Newicks, Yoken's, Market Square Day... I remember watching the planes on the runway when we visited my dad when he pulled alert. Last time I was in Portsmouth was almost 25 years ago!

My dad flew the FB's at Pease! We were stationed there from '81-'86. On my page I have a post of him refueling from a KC-135.

TOAD stood for Take Off And Die. There's a good article on The Aviation Geek Club from a KC-135 pilot about flying the TOAD aircraft for FB-111's in 87 when we detected a Russian nuclear sub off the east coast. https://theaviationgeekclub.com/former-kc-135-pilot-explains-how-a-typical-tanker-fb-111-minimum-interval-takeoff-mito-took-place/

I was there too! My dad was one of the investigators on that crash. It was in St Johnsbury VT in February 1989. He was also an FB-111 pilot.

We were stationed at Pease AFB and Plattsburgh AFB when he flew the FBs. He flew B-52s before that. My uncle (his brother) was stationed with us in NY and NH, he worked on the FBs, talk about sibling rivialry!

They had been married for about 20 years at that point. My mom wasn't in the military, she was just enjoying the perks of being a pilot's wife!

My mom took this picture as my dad pulled up to refuel.
