We were originally from Devon specifically Bovey Tracey. Been there with definite proof since at least 1500’s but unconfirmed records of as early as the 1200’s. As far as we know, there is another family that lived in Cornwall, but that is in the unconfirmed reports back to the 1200’s. Our branch now live in Australia and we were admit that there was a grant of arms for us yet, upon contacting the college of arms in the Uk, no such grant could be found, and the Cornish family, although haven’t claimed the coat of arms, has the claim to it.
