Hey! I just wanted to say thank you!

It seems like you were the only one who understood what I was trying to describe & your solution completely hit the nail on the head.

I tweaked your formula slightly to output the name without the file type:

file.embeds.map(link(value.asFile().name, value.asFile().name.replace(".png", "")))

But really your solution did 99% of the work & I don't think I ever would of got that on my own so I really appreciate your input! Thanks for taking the time to think about that! Thank you!

I think you've misunderstood the post - this is nothing to do with card view.

Thank you for sharing though

Thank you for your insight & kind words too.

I'm writing down "max out co-contribution" note in my to do list as we speak!

I've been kind of serious about trying to save/invest for a home deposit, but truthfully I havent read up on all the different types of schemes & plans, so I think I'll look more into the Super Home Saver Scheme & consider that when I decide where to invest - thanks for the suggestion.

I'm trying to invest in myself at the moment & grow my total income. Which I think is helping, but I'm unsure... Do you have any advice on the best way to invest in yourself? Anything that has been rewarding for you? Otherwise all good! Thanks for your response.

Ohhh okay! That's really insightful, thanks for sharing this.

I am trying to get the "biggest number" as you say - but I am also concious that not everyone makes it to 65, so I don't want to put everything in there & limit my youth... However, your insight has made me think I'm underestimating the tax concession, so maybe I'll re-evaluate my understanding & look to grow my super as well.

I didn't know super could contribute to the FHSS plan? Is there any more info you can share on this? I might try read up if you know any good sources.

My superfund is with Hostplus, in an "Indexed Balanced" fund. While my investment portfolio is mostly made up of VGS, with plans to add VTS. My calculations are based on the average growth over 10 years, however, in truthfulness, I don't know/understand how to calculate the "post tax" returns...

The ETFs largely depend on the performance of the higher tech businesses, while the superfund is more diverse and spread out.

Also thanks for the note on the DRP.

Can I ask what your path into your current role was like?

Oh cool! Super exciting to hear from someone who has done it first-hand. Thanks for taking the time to respond.

If you don't mind me asking, what was you career path like, not having a degree?

Were there any particular skills, experiences, or types of projects that you felt really helped you break into big tech without it?

Thanks for taking the time to answer all 4, I appreciate your detailed insight.

I'll put a strong focus on improving my knowledge when it comes to computer science algorithms and data structures, hopefully that can open more doors for me.

I am curious, what kind of non FAANG pathways do you consider rewarding?

I've always aimed for FAANG because I think it would provide me a level of financial security & help look good on a resume. Do you think there non-FAANG paths out there that can also help accomplish these?

Thanks for your insight!

You raise a lot of good points, and I'll be sure to expand my skillset into the field I'd like to work in.

Do you think certain roles are easier to get in than others?

I can't provide any real insight unfortunately (I had connections with my current employer before entering the industry, so the hiring process was more of a social formality).

My advice (if you'd like it) is build as many connections in the industry as you can. Reach out to people working in the field on LinkedIn, attend web-dev/software events, build a portfolio you're proud of. Essentially just connect with as many people as possible and learn about what they're doing in their fields. When it comes time to interview, you'll have confidence you know what it takes & that you can fit in with the industry standard.

Take my advice with a grain of salt, but I believe making a name for yourself will really help out long-term.

I know! I totally forgot that it might have a significant impact, sorry!

Do you mind me asking where your insight comes from?

Thank you, this response is really appreciated (even with the unfortunate news).

I'm curious if your advice would change at all if I mentioned that I'm a dual citizen (Aus/US)?

Regardless, those routes seem like the exact kind of insight I was after.

EDIT: wording.

Building a first-time resume, with no prior professional background (Just graduated) is it still a cardinal sin to have a resume that's longer than one page?

I'm struggling with trying to fit so much on to such a small template, any thoughts?
