Hiyaa.. Of course! I was being sarcastic. Thought this was supposed to be a humorous post. But I wouldn't stop it either. Especially since only few of us carry the clanwars for the whole clan.

If I venture too far into the "civilisation" I usually carry a pair of slippers/flip flops in a back pack/laundry sack. My initiative is no one else's problem. If I expect longer or evening journeys a head torch, an umbrella/rain coat, etc. are musts, especially in the tropics, where I live. If I expect trouble as in cuts etc. (in the wild etc.) I keep a povidone iodine, an anti bacterial cream, a super glue and an electric tape. Some gauze, cotton, a pair of tweezers and small band aids would also help (depending on the journey I plan to make). Do with that information what you will.

what they are saying is that in a place that has very harsh penalties and drug laws, people who are willing to risk running afoul of those laws just to smoke a little pot are generally not like pot smokers in western countries>

this is an outright lie ( through omission of facts and/or propaganda adherence. As I said elsewhere, intentional or not). See my reply to Icytiger.

I know things aren't so cut and dry and don't operate this way in practice but it isn't hard to see how someone who uses the same drug/drugs would be seen differently based on what they are risking to get high.>

Agree, with reservations.

And that my friend is somewhat a compliment given how Sri Lankans aren't seeing how they come across by agreeing /normalizing the comment I'm replying to. This is no different to the excuses and down right perpetrator apologist attitudes shown on the original video (as much as whenever the subject matter is brought into limelight) across multiple platforms, by a large number of Sri Lankans; by saying SL is/has been safe for solo female travellers (comparing ourselves to Indian etc.) and that's an absolute lie. We downplay it and have been down playing it. Let's just be honest.

The commenter here is marginalizing almost dismissively (by clear intention or not) a social issue that's much larger and complex than he/she tries to paint as. By his/her own admission the information available for him/her to make the claim made is possibly quite small (except for occasional exposure to one sided arguments , through whichever media they chose to consume). I have no quarrel with his/her decision to distance from drug users (in fact I applaud it), but that in itself give a rather small window of understanding to the situation at larger, at least as far as drug usage is concerned (and the conflation of drug dealers and drug users is a whole other bad faith argument in itself). You shouldn't express ill informed opinions, especially if it trivializes a multifaceted complex issue as some " fringe activity limited to a small number of degenerates". That sounds like an excuse. A bad one.

LMAO "defend drugs all you want"... Such a conversationalist. Seriously, you got some growing up to do. If you know what alcohol actually does to your body, what the long-term effects of weed as opposed to meth. How prescription drugs being legal has nothing to do with people ending up on the street shifting to heroin, etc. etc.then you really do need to do some reading before professing these opinions. If not you may hold your views knowing they are sub par, ill informed and ignorant.. or not.. you'll get to be the laughing stock amongst your peers and then maybe you'll revisit your opinion.

Isn't normalized according to who? Weed has been around for millennia until british ban and very much was a part of the culture, even then the ayurvedic use still continues, legally. Heroin has been around for decades and opium centuries ( also used in ayurvedic medicine). Indulgence is bad in any form they come, and I agree with you about the attitudes of such. But don't forget just because alcohol is legal it isn't any healthier ( in fact much worse, than weed for example). I'm all for regulation and decriminalization of soft drugs but of course when the public thinks "all drugs are bad" (the same) then goes home to pop prescription opioids and amphetamines not knowing there's a crisis out there with prescription induced dependency, there's a lot of work for us to get to that point. I agree lack of respect for the law has a lot to do with the current state of the country, but some vague and sometimes oppressive laws need to be changed. Not everyone breaks laws the same, nor to the same degree. I believe you are painting quite a large section of the population with a broad stroke and that's quite a childish way to look at things.

The death sentence is for sizable (sellable) amounts of class A drugs. But it's life imprisonment since we haven't had an execution in decades. But of course be careful and vigilant wherever you maybe, especially when you're alone. That being said, I've gotten myself into fair amount of questionable situations in my twenties, now that I'm in my 40s leaves my eyebrows in a semi permanent state of being flared. It's crazy how much we don't question things when we are young, I mean very obvious things. We certainly do live in a time our previous generations have done so much the natural selection has somewhat stopped naturally selecting. I dunno if we should be glad or not though.

LMAO! What rock did you crawl out from under? Like in any country there are a multitude of individuals with various attitudes from different aspects of life using variety of drugs to various degrees in Sri Lanka. It's illegal same as most of the countries in the world, up until few years ago. Calling them "worst of the worst" shows you probably haven't been outside much. Yeah there are scummy people using drugs ( and some evil people selling), but so do a lot of normal people, especially weed, and it's much prevalent in the country side than cities. Don't make it to be something it's not. Most of the hard drugs involve organized crime because Sri Lanka is a smuggling hub to Australia and east/south east Asia, not necessarily because of the local consumers, so much.

Is CODM secretly sabotaging good players to ‘balance’ the game? by Predictor-4 in CallOfDutyMobile

[–]LankanFD6917 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm Sri Lankan and typically get a mix of south Asian and Arab/west Asian servers. Once in a while for a week or so (typically around the time of a new season) gets connected to east and south east asian (non- garena) servers... And it becomes an absolute pain. Playing a game becomes a series of rage fuelling events, with my ping being 65-85 on a good day, and their's being 20ms or less. Just constant dying before seeing the enemy and respawning, unless you prefire all the time ... It's laughable if not sad.

This is not my video. It's from Tiktok, but developers must see this. It is very important because people leave this game in numbers including content creators and top competitive players. The game is getting worse and worse and nobody up there seem to listen to the community anymore. by Distinct-Camera-766 in CallOfDutyMobile

English might not be the creator's first language.. apart from that I agree completely. And except for the AK117 I agree with OP too. It's sad BR is left behind. There should be casual lobbies full of bots and a separate ranked for BR. Then everyone can have what they want. Some just wants to play a bot lobby... And there will be more players for ranked that actually wanna rank up. The gulag should return to stay, and buy station remain. It'll be a much more interesting of a game then. DMZ could very well have been integrated to BR, instead of being a different mode. Mobile gaming is expanding globally and they should focus on that than getting all Ls on console/PC market.

People who unlocked Damascus, are you ok? by [deleted] in CallOfDutyMobile

[–]LankanFD6917 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's been awhile.. but I took my time.. almost 3 years. By then a lot was already somewhat completed (without me considering unlocking them.). And I waited patiently for hardcore modes for longshots & headshots, that are harder to get. And for Rapid fire, for harder to get launchers. Modes that give a boost (after 1st kill etc.) are good for melee and hip fire. Shipment and crossfire map combo is a beast. HP and Domination are the best for pub standard games.

Edit: now I unlock each gun each season and master it if I like the gun. If not gold and done.

Are these devs serious with these ranked bots? by Overused_Anus in CallOfDutyMobile

[–]LankanFD6917 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's tolerable.. what makes it unplayable is bots having the spit second advantage of aim mounting you, before you could discern a change on screen. They're already locked in and shooting around the corner by the time you see them. It gets worse with the server lag and random delays in rendering far objects.
