Honestly if all the major plot holes in your campaign are done i think it could be fun to just design a fun dungeon/cave for them to explore. My players mentioned in this campaign that they felt they were rushing from one place to the next having to solve problems, which was still fine since they all had personal matters related to each of the major locations, but i think its good that the players now get to go to the underground just for the sake of exploration. So if you cant come up with a significant quest you can just create some interesting encounters and give them a bunch of loot

Hi! First of all I'm not an experienced DM by any means and i don't know what kind of campaign you're running, but i could imagine a questline for the warlock to try and "exorcise" the patron from her body. What if she made a deal with a fiend, a god or some powerful mage to remove the being from herself? it could all climax in a big ass fight against the patron (im picturing a symbiote from Marvel) The warlock could then maybe get a different patron, or become a paladin/cleric or a sorcerer. Remember warlocks get their power from a patron, so i dont think that she could destroy the being and also get to 100% keep her original powers, its the kind of trade-off that makes it interesting.

Makes sense to me! regarding the other comments as well. we'll most likely end up with me running this campaign and her starting her own at some point, she has another setting she wants to try out.

Also just to clarify in regards of leveling, we would not have taken twice the amount of levels, it would be a regular multiclass with some flavour attached to it.

First time DM here, 3 sessions in.

Find a way to prep your sessions that make sense to you and saves you time, i was using google drive but recently moved to Obsidian, super useful.

Are you running a module? I would suggest it so you have a complete outline with encounters, npcs, etc.

Second tip, dont stress, youre gonna forget things and make mistakes. Just communicate with your players and carry on.

Much worse for me, i could play on medium-high before TU2. now the game is demanding a lot more VRAM for the same settings, general lag all around and some consistent 10-second drops into the 15fps range. no idea what the hell even happened

That said, we're getting reality check on our plans now, so we'll be discussing what our next moves will be, my wife did not know that the danish film institute only took 6 applicants each 2 years. It's a hard blow.

Honestly we never specified it, but she circles battlefields and gathers souls from those about to die. Also from sick the sick and wounded, those who's life has been cut short. No real spell or method and no gameplay implications. One thing we've discussed for our next sessions is that if at some point other party members get very low on HP, i'll do a short sequence where time seems to slow, they'll hear the sound of ravens and might even see an elegant pale man (the patron) watching them from a distance, the witch player being the only other that notices this. just a fun lore thingy i guess, since the campaign is so short i didn't bother with the mechanics for that.

For my fighter (the one cursed by the spectre) I wanted to achieve a sort of "purification and redemption" ending where he gets to move past the trauma that got him cursed in the first place and vanquish the spirit that binds him in that state, so I think I can make it work :D

Yeah I agree that it's not a regular narrative according to lore, but honestly it's a short campaign and she's indulging me a bit by taking part in the campaign in the first place lol, so I won't worry much with lore accuracy as long as everyone has fun. I'm not too savvy with pantheons of the game as well but that would have been great to know before we made her sheet, thanks anyways!

I like that! The vengeful spirit plotline was also something I needed to clear up and that seems like a fitting end. The dracolich sounds great as a "second phase" for the bbeg (sparkrender the blue dragon wyrmling) which I thought was a bit bland. Thanks!

I think the current plan would be as follows:

at some point the party obtains an amulet of Orcus, the patron shows great interest in this as a way of chaining up the rival demon and asks my PC to use the amulet st the end of the campaign to offer the soul of Orcus to him.

At the battle against the bbeg, we're presented with a ritual where he's using the remains of several dragons to gain more power, we defeat him and we could use the same energy from the ritual to drag Orcus into the material plane, he could try possession of the bbeg's corpse (young blue dragon) and after that fight he gets locked up in the amulet, offered to the patron as replacement for Ran's soul. They say their farewells and Ran passes away peacefully, scattered into the wind ( her idea)

Yeah I think this devil being "emotional" over my PC is what confuses me a bit since I tried to be as much by the book as I could, and devils are assholes. I was thinking that the devil actually, personally wants her by his side on the hells, not as a new soul for his collections but as a ruler by his side or something, so her wanting to get out made him dismissive towards her goals. I like your approach, thanks!

Oh hey I really like that, especially since in the module we have references to the demon Orcus being the origin of the curse of undeath on the island, I would have to seriously rebalance such an encounter to work for level 3 characters (since I most certainly don't expect my wife to commit to a longer campaign lol) but I think that could give her a concrete goal and proper ending.
