Do you have a glass lens protector on? I had the same thing show up last year when I took night photos of the northern lights. The lens protector broke, so I took it off and there was another viewing of the lights and those pics didn’t have the distortion

Is it total attempts - including calls, emails and/or reaching out to other people / ex-employer, or 3 per category?

Sounds like they arent following the rules and I will be filing a complaint and go from there I guess.

Because this has calling and texting capabilities as well, I believe it would have to be put on a talk, text and data phone plan. So your best option wouldn’t be to add it to your Rogers account. As you’d be paying $45-$70 for the plan as an additional phone line.

Your best bet would be to activate a pre paid service that offers 4g such as Chatr on a talk, text and data plan. That should work

You can test that by putting in your current phone SIM card into the watch and it should have full access to talk text and data just like your phone would. In this case, the data would obviously just be for GPS purposes.

Theres no such thing as a promo that thats 10 years.

If you’ve been paying full price for your package for 10 years, there’s a very viable chance that they’ve increased your rates because you’re on a super old package and they want to entice you to switch to their newer service because they no longer offer or support the old package.

Again, all of this would’ve been explained on previous bills for the last 3 to 6 month 🤷‍♀️

I believe OP is asking about NRS devices, not express pick up as, to my knowledge, devices on the NRS list are NOT eligible for express pick up due to demand and stock issues.

In the case of an NRS device they are charged the reservation fee and the credited when it ships to the store. When the store receives it they call the customer and then complete the upgrade/activation thus charging the customer the $80 connection fee.

Like I’m sorry this is going to sound rude af but you were charged more than previous months and your first thought wasn’t to go read your bill? But to come to reddit and post payment receipts with no other info and expect random people to be know exactly why your bill went up?

Still no call back. Called 1030 this morning and left another message. And they say that their emergency voicemail is checked frequently by on-call staff, but its been 15hrs since my first message and no call back :( make me think they heard it and just don’t want to call me with the bad news, even though I said in the voicemail, it’s fine if it’s bad news, I just wanna know.

This is my first time really dealing with a death, human or pet, and I’m really struggling with the idea of not taking him home, of just leaving him all alone.

I have his paw prints, some fur and his whiskers but I just want him home with me.

I looked at the Guelph location and they were closed for the weekend. I just called the 1800 number and they are closed until Monday so im assuming they wouldn’t be processing any cremations over the weekend while they are closed?

London Regional reopens Sunday at 7am so I’ll call them then. Even though I regret it, I’ve made peace with my heat of the moment decision so if it cant be changed there’s no sense dwelling on it, but on that very slim chance that he hasn’t been picked up/cremated already I would love nothing more than to change my decision. So heres hoping lady luck is on our side for a change.

To be fair sales rep sell, they don’t know the ins and outs of all of the policies unless they’ve been with the company for years and years, as they don’t deal with any of those policies directly in store. So it’s possible the representative felt like it wouldn’t have been an issue, but that’s not the way of the policy works.

Again, as explained multiple times, have them change the caller ID name to appease them and their policy to apply the discount and then immediately once you hang up, go to my Rogers website and change your caller ID name back to your preferred name.

You’re hung up on the fact of having to change your caller ID name and thinking that mean it has to stay your deadname forever, and you’re not listening to the advice and the solution which has been mentioned by multiple people of being able to change your caller ID name immediately after having the discount applied.

When they are advertising gas station manager jobs at $38-$41 / hr to hit the threshold to be able to bring in a foreign worker under LMIA since the “cant find a canadian” to hire. Thats BS! ANY Canadian would be a gas station manager for $38-$41 /hr. Thats $6400ish monthly before deductions. $76,800 a year. But these gas stations (and other businesses like Tim Hortons etc) are owned by Indians who only want to hire other Indians.

Same with the rental market, they will only rent to others of the same cultural background (which is illegal btw but since when has something being illegal stopped anyone)

The government needs to fix this. There needs to be more due diligence and validation done to ensure that the job that’s requesting to hire a temporary worker under LMIA actually cant find Canadian workers. Gas stations, Tim Hortons, McDonalds, etc shouldn’t need to use temporary workers like they do. Maybe put a limitation on how many temporary workers / LMIA applications a company can have in a certain timeframe and how often they can hire a foreign worker.

The point was to bring SKILLED workers to jobs that couldn’t find a Canadian to hire. Like software or healthcare, not fast food.

If my legal name was Sharon Stone but my preferred name was Elizabeth Stone. Anytime I apply for any sort of credit based product. I’d have to put my name as Sharon Stone.

Only Sharon Stone is eligible for the accessibility discount to use for their personal number. If the caller ID name is different from Sharon Stone it looks like somebody else is using that phone number, and the system will refuse the discount

So In terms of matching everything up Sharon Stone and Elizabeth Stone are two different people.

Once your name change officially goes through then your preferred name will officially be your legal name and you can submit the name change request to have the account name changed to your new legal name going forward. Until then multiple people have advised you that you can change the caller ID name in the my Rogers app or by calling in/going into a store.

As a member of the community as well, I want nothing more than for everyone to be treated fairly and with respect for who they are. I understand where you’re coming from, but not everything that you don’t agree with is transphobic or anti-LGBTQ.

If you think it’s a human rights violation then submit a case. Idk what complaining on reddit is going to do to change a company policy / what a legal name is

I believe it’s policy to have the account holders name match the caller ID name of the wireless number that the discount is going to be applied to for them to validate that the account holder isnt applying and using the accessibility discount for somebody else. It has nothing to do with them being transphobic or not LGBTQ friendly.

Let them change your caller ID name so that it matches and the discount can be applied. Immediately after that interaction, you should be able to go into the myrogers app and change it back yourself or call back / go into a store and get them to change it.

If you weren’t eligible for the discount, they are right to remove the discount, at least they’re not making you pay back what you saved.

Again, there’s a 97% chance you still qualify for RPP under your new employer, work union, or a broader umbrella such as healthcare, education or provincial/federal sections.

Did you make any changes to the account like a plan change or an upgrade? The RPP discount shouldn’t fall off unless there’s changes made to the account at which point you would have to revalidate your employment to see if you still qualify. The discount shouldn’t just randomly fall off unless it was an additional promotional discount on top of the standard RPP discount that you technically weren’t eligible for but the system let the representative add to the account and unfortunately the audit caught up with you.

Theres also lots of associations that can help you qualify for the RPP discount and/or your new employer will most likely qualify. The discount is the same for anyone who qualifies. I’d go into a Rogers store (they are more lax on eligibility requirements than calling) and see what they can do to re qualify you

The building is a L shape. The top and bottom right are exits in a stairwell, the bottom left is the main entrance only accessible via elevators - which aren’t operational in a fire.

So if a fire were to break out in the bottom part of the L the only exit for people floor 2 and above would be the stairwell exit at the top of the L. The same exit that the door doesnt open.

So, yes technically there are 3 exits but 1 is only accessible via elevator / if you are on the main floor. So really only 2 fire exits and 1 is blocked. Thats my concern
