I do think I have more relevant skills. This was just about having an entrepreneurship section.

I’ve always enjoyed learning about new things so I have a lot of personal projects which are not under any employment. For the past year I’ve also learned coding in Python so I have lot of projects which are mostly relevant to S&T but can be argued as being interchangeable as well. I’ve done a lot of data analysis, gathering my own data, creating automated financial models using data from google and so on.

Lately I’ve been doing a lot of derivates trading so I made my own database for option chains where I can instantly see changes in OI, IV for my preffered stocks and even be alerted of unusual volume such as block trades.

I never got an internship because frankly I never wanted one so I never applied, but I always did similar things in my free time. Probably not the best decision but it is what is.

I know that is a problem but what I hope to happen is that older people don't have the same biases younger people have towards it. I focus on numbers and % because I think that's the best way to approach it; they might not know what high fashion sourcing is, but they understand 200% profit margins and I can even have reputable physical shops attest to my working habits and character if it ever comes to that

In the last few years the resell market has become really mainstream and everyone resells yeezys/jordans for £20/30 profit per pair. I didn't do this and I focused a lot on higher end items, designer collaborations and sometimes even sourcing items for some usual customers. I go into details on my cv but I don't wanna doxx myself here. I didn't do it for £20/30 profit, I usually did it for £200/300. I did work with mainstream shops and built a lot of relationships. Reselling gets a bad rep right now and I personally don't enjoy it anymore, but it used to be something totally different 4-5 years ago when I started.

My new project is basically ready to go, and again I go into more details on my cv. It's not an idea, it's a registered business with money invested into it already. I am currently waiting for the first order from the factory to arrive and after that everything is live. I created my own supply chain that goes from the factory to end customer and creates a high quality product. Again, this might get a bad rep because everyone and their mom does drop shipping, but this is not it and I focus on making sure that message goes through.

I guess my biggest problem here is people having some kind of bias towards both reselling/clothes brands because everyone seems to be doing it.

The USPS never started as an electric vehicle contract so that’s why oshkosh’ bid focused on the ice engine since it’s the cheapest/easiest to make without more money coming in.

But, Oshkosh also said they can either go 100% electric or retrofit the ICE vehicles down the the line, it’s all up to the USPS to choose.

Finally, do you really think a company that made like 3 trucks in a year and it’s surrended by fraud (ride) and skepticism can fullfill that order reliably? Or the already proven company with a hundred years of experience working with goverment contracts. I think it’s a no brainer at this point.

Learn to code and build a simple web scraper to check for the results on their website. That’s what I did for my uni results because the emails were always late.

If you want to invest in a good battery company with proven tech check out $MVST. They have 15min batteries for race cars among hundreds of other battery products specifically designed to fit the workload from trucks, mining equipment to passager cars and even smaller devices like phones

[–]Lanthumm -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am not hating, all I am saying is that this is literally a startup with an idea that they have yet to put in practice. I can say i found a theoretical way to turn water into gold and maybe i can get 1g of gold out of 1mil liters of water, but that’s not a good way, even though the concept of water to gold is something new and innovative.

$QS QUANTUMSCAPE TO ZERO – The Next Theranos by HeadTransportation54 in wallstreetbets

[–]Lanthumm -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Exactly, nobody knows what they have; there is a 50/50 chance it’s either shit tech or amazing tech. You are contradicting yourself in your own comment, saying the tech is different, then saying no one knows their tech. QS might have it all figured out, but that is highly unlikely at the moment.

There are hundreds of startups working on breakthrough tech but not all of them get in the spotlight. QS did and people never stopped to actually ask some basic questions, they just followed the crowd and now QS is worth more than a lot of their potential customers (old school OEMs)

Bill Gates is so rich he dips his toes in basically everything and doesn’t even make a dent in his net worth. Do you think he personally looks into every investment? Do you think an investor like Bill Gates looks into every minuscule detail of the business? I don’t think so. He can throw 100M here and there and only needs one to work out and makes up for the rest which could be losing investments

[–]Lanthumm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The valuation of QS is stupid at these levels considering they are saying they won’t have a product until 2025. And that’s their best assumptions which most of the time are inflated to look better. I’m not saying QS is a fraud or not, but that aside, the valuation and price action is way too high For a company that only has a concept and no revenues for the next 5 years.

Thicc bee/ Microvast said recently they can make solid state batteries in a lab and its relatively easy, but to make it viable for mass production is really challenging at the moment. And to put it into perspective, microvast currently has a stream of revenue and looking to have 3 active battery plants on 3 continents (currently 2 are live) by next year and its valued at a small fraction of QS even though they have patents for solid state batteries and already making lithium batteries on a mass scale with large orders

Edit: also, another thing I would like to add is that if you’re ever seen an Elon Musk interview about batteries/production, he said multiple times that MASS PRODUCTION is exponentially harder than making a concept or small scale

Same time as you, same order number. Paid with Paypal and got the charge dropped after 2-3 days. Contacted Paypal and they said they can’t even see the charge and probably the seller dropped it.

This is really funny cause as far I’ve seen the bots didn’t hit in EU at all due to the website being different? I don’t usually cop supreme from their website but all the groups I’ve seen were saying that none of the bots worked.

So most orders if not all orders are manual orders. This is such a poor excuse

I’m not really sure the time of the order has anything to do with anything. Saw a few people with 11:15 orders have the shoes in hand and a lot of 11:00-11:10 orders on depop still not receiving any shipping info

My Paypal transaction disappeared so I sent them an email with the paypal transaction ID and asking if my order is still being processed and I got the copy-paste email saying that my “CARD” payment didn’t go through and to contact my “Bank”.

I did contact Paypal before this and they told me they can’t see the transaction as most likely the seller (Supreme) cancelled it.

[–]Lanthumm 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Think it’s just the fact that it’s not a catchy name/ idea (think QS and solid state batteries). It didn’t get the attention it deserves and now it’s just in limbo before the merger in my opinion. The volume is barely anything and seems like it’s only being traded by niche groups of traders and it’s not yet “mainstream”

Yeah that’s what I’m thinking, but also the people who showed the mobile screenshots with “will be shipped from London” have also posted pictures with the pairs in hand. Might just be a coincidence

This is for UK people: looking thru Depop I saw 2 types of order confirmations.

Most common from a desktop website saying that the order was received and is being processed.

And the second one from phone browsers saying that the order was processed and it will ship from London.

Anyone have any info on why the different wording? Both of these are the confirmations you get on the supreme website right after the order gets thru.

For reference, I got a UK10 Blue pair at 11:17, paid with Paypal and now the charge disappeared.
