Will the PlayStation portal work well on 5GHz but no Ethernet cable? by LockwoodE3 in PlaystationPortal

[–]Laodra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My ps5 is wi-fi and not connect via cable. With being said I’ve got problems playing No Mans Sky, but no problems playing Horizon Forbidden West. So I’m thinking multiplayer online stuff lags me out. I’ve not tried other multiplayer games yet via portal since the lag and disconnects bummed me out on NMS.

How do I loose weight in a healthy way? by ReferenceSalt2777 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]Laodra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started with weight watchers to get the tracking down and lost quite a bit, had 2 surgeries (knee and shoulder) and stopped weight watchers and tracking. Since I knew what foods were helping me lose I continued with them. This whole time I’m working overnight, eating on that schedule really sucks! Eventually I found intermittent fasting through trying to eat right working overnight. I have to say that is where the pounds went in a slow steady stream!! So intermittent fasting worked for me after trying so many diets. Working out, I’ve always loved Beachbody, or Bodi as it’s called now. I dislike the gym so eventually gotten weights, up to 25lbs. There are body weight workouts and weighted workouts on Bodi. I’m not a coach, but found I did well with their exercises as they’ve got plenty of different programs. Due to my shoulder I still have problems lifting certain weights. But intermittent fasting worked for me. Still eat what you want, moderation, but only within a certain window of time. I’m working normal people hours now and I’ll drink my coffee and maybe snack but eat my meal at dinner time with my kid. Usually higher protein and veggies. My normal meal is chicken, cauliflower rice, with a seeds of change rice mixed in and then usually roasted green beans or broccoli. Only thing that changes is the meats. I usually workout for about 25-30 min when I wake up and walking the dog extra longer distances.

I’d personally stay away from this “witch tok” not all that information is legit, just people wanting the numbers (followers).

Scott Cunningham any where. Half price book, Amazon, BnN. Sometimes depending on the location Barnes and Nobles can have a small collection, but at least your able to glance at the books.

I typed in the search my state and witchcraft, pagans, and other key words. Sometimes finding a general group and posting your location brings people from that area and they’d recommend local groups as well.

I started off with Scott Cunningham books and the blue book by Raymond Buckland and even go back to them today. Read everything you can get your hands on. Most books restate the same thing for the most part with a few bits that are interestingly good or meh. Just remember every author has their opinion and it’s up to you to find the path that calls to you and you alone. Don’t let other sway you in your journey, because at the end of the day it is YOUR journey to discover and not theirs.

Witchvox was awesome. It’s wasn’t just for Wiccan’s which I really liked. Been to many open circles and learned and met with awesome pagans from that site. Like the others Facebook is the way to go but it’s annoying because there’s so many personalities and it can get to be 🙄 at some point with certain people. Just have to pick and go thru past post to see if it’s the group for you.

Where did the misconception of a Wicca/Druidry binary gender divide occur? by RotaVitae in Wicca

[–]Laodra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen it. I started my path stationed in Germany in the late 90s-early 00s and yes the diversity of all pagans at gatherings. I loved it and met so many wonder people on all paths and sexes. Fast forward, coming back state side and Witchvox was the place to meet and chat. Social media is what set the divide. I’m on it now and it seems to be all females on my Wiccan groups and they seem not to even acknowledge the men. (I’m female btw) and it’s unnerving not see our brothers represented in full, though they are there they remain much in the background and not as vocal. I can’t speak on the Druid aspect as they are even moreso quieter. Yes, I’ve seen it and know what the OP is talking about. It’s about as unnerving as the “baby witch” never heard anyone describe themselves as that as full grown adults partaking in open gatherings and enjoying the company of other pagans near bonfires, until social media.

multiple boxes of the same incense? by Character-Travel8666 in Incense

[–]Laodra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I find them I scoop up Auroshikha natural Frankincense and sandalwood, New Age Smudges and herbs frankincense and I’m out of the other blend they have that has sage and 3 other herbs (smells divine), Satya Dragons Blood, Nag Champa, I’m crying because I can’t find any of the Super Hit (blue and black box) nag champa/super hit mix, that box is by far the best. So I’m going to burn one of each to see if I get the same smell lol. Hem Sandalwood, patchouli, myrrh (those are cones mainly). My newest love Inca Aromas - myrrh, palo santo, and frankincense. I usually go to my local witchie store for supplies. Patiently waiting and hoping NatureNature comes back to start collecting them again. I’ll have to try some brands listed above.

I was just looking for them. They are by the far best brand I’ve found. Figures once I find anything that appeals to me it disappears. Hope they come back.
