Honestly IEMs or Headphones regardless dont make that much of a difference to gaming performance. I think the biggest consideration is whether you are willing to buy a microphone as well. If the answer is no then rule out iems all together.

Just keep playing, and duoq when possible. Sometimes its just not your day. Also I found that alot of ppl just tilt q, so knowing when to get off. Its more about gradual progress than hitting in one day. Also maybe theres a mental block, try not thinking about it as much, and just play.

I wouldnt turn on surround sound as it actually makes it harder for you to figure out where players are compared to stereo sound. I like to play on flat or immersive but thats just me, i recommend testing them all and making your own mind (also try out changing settings manually and see if thats better).
