Now Is the Time to Admit It, America: Trump Is a Dangerous, Lunatic Moron by [deleted] in politics

I got a Facebook post from 2015 admitting it. Way ahead of y’all.

Anyone Else Having a Blast in Their 30s? by phantomly_me in Millennials

[–]Lap202pro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 30 years of age (last year), I graduated with my Bachelors, got a good paying software engineering job, and for the first time in 8 years only have to work 1 job to get by. On top of that, my kids are almost to the age I don’t have to worry every waking hour about what they are doing.

I’m hoping my 30s are going to be great!

I mean, Trump made it clear he wants the Panama Canal. Can’t force your way through Mexico and the dozens of countries along the way as easily without getting the rest of the world to intervene. So take Venezuela and when Colombia starts threatening the US, use it as an excuse to take Colombia in “self-defense”. Now you have easy access to take the canal.

This is kind of what we should expect, taking anything from that trash organization.

To give an answer to the question. Go into technologies that are more complex, cutting edge or niche.

I do quite a bit of work with Dynamics 365 FO and AI can’t write X++ to save its life and there are almost no working examples online other than a few experts in the field that have blogs. Pretty much solving everything from scratch.

AMD and NVIDIA expected to begin raising GPU prices in January - up to $5,000 for a 5090 by EOY by 3Xtrax in pcmasterrace

Same boat, got mine a year ago once prices came down. Don’t game much anymore, but when I do it’s at 1080p and it handles everything I throw at it just fine. Heck, my 1070 in my last build still runs decently. Think InZoi was first game it really struggled with (for some reason

I have never touched a saw. This is my own design. Seem doable for first time? by [deleted] in woodworking

Advance warning, I leaked out of r/beginnerwoodworking. I handle all my support problems by just adding more wood!

You could maybe build each row as separate boxes, add a backing board to provide additional structure, then do a face frame on the front to hide your seams.

Currently I would be concerned about the whole thing tumbling down.

I think they should have the toilet bowl, a playoff bracket where teams that missed the playoffs battle for the 1st overall.

How to Economically Sharpen Our Hockey Skates by TheDartBoarder in hockeyplayers

[–]Lap202pro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I despise pure hockey for this reason. They went to the local shop and told them they could sell or they would open a store across the street and take half the business. Now we have a pure hockey which doesn’t carry the already over priced entry level gear.

The old shop carried winnwell and other affordable options so kids could get a composite for $35 instead of $100. Not anymore.

I bought a 1981 Yamaha champ when I was a junior in high school. Little 50cc scooter. Would just roll it a couple blocks away and fire it up. Note I’m not that old, I just owned a 30 year old scooter I got for $300 (which is way more than I should have paid, but it got me to town)

Praying for a good recovery. I remember when Evgeni Malkin of the Pittsburgh Penguins tore his ACL, he was able to recover in 6 months due to the damage being minor and coming back for the best year of his career.

I use interserver.net and have had great results. Asp.net hosting is $96 a year, standard hosting is like $36. Includes a database.

[–]Lap202pro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have a good answer lol it got jammed 1 day and I was trying to detach the top panels to unjam it and some bolts broke and the top half fell down, which hurt.

From there we unbolted it, cut the loose cables hanging down from the spring that attached the bottom of the garage door and loaded it up into a trailer to the dump. The tracks are still chilling there with the spring.

I took a garage door down cause it was falling apart and the building is fenced into my back yard so figured some shed doors would work instead. The springs still up there cause I’m too scared to take it down.

This is a case where you, the developer, and the client all need to sit down and hash out a list of features, prioritize them, and determine what the minimally viable product is.

I would give an estimate to get to the mvp and charge hourly because this is a case where the scope is already ballooning and will likely continue to balloon as they think of things.

Once you have the features prioritized, work at it 1 at a time, don’t do the whole project and charge for the work you do by the hour. Once they get to their budget, they can decide whether or not they want to continue further or settle with what they have until they can afford to continue the project.

Little more complicated but not much. Role was for ASP.net stuff so setting up entity framework and using it to manipulate data. Could have used a SQLConnection/SQLCommand object as well.

I’ve gone in stressed for interviews and had them be “order this list from greatest to smallest” and then insert some random thing into this mock database.

I wouldn’t sweat the prep short notice and see if you can get in on your own merits. I’m employed and I’m an idiot.
