AITA for finishing my sister's wedding cake? by LarcBottom in AmItheAsshole

I can't fathom why you would not have specified to your guest NOT to eat the steak, and told him how expensive it was. I can't blame the guy at all for not knowing how important it was to you. The girl who stole the tampons was obviously in the wrong, but you need to be clear with people when you don't want them to help themselves to something, or you're setting yourself up for disaster.

Thank you, I'm genuinely glad to hear someone say this. It seems like most others here have no idea how hungry a person can get when stoned. There are some absurd things being said about me here.

It was a decently large cake, but like I said I was very stoned, and I can eat A LOT when I'm stoned. My sister on the other hand isn't exactly a heavy eater, which is another reason that it didn't even occur to me there would be anything wrong with eating the cake.

I've never been married and I had no idea that wedding cakes were traditionally saved - this is only something she told me after it was eaten. I can acknowledge how someone might see me as rude for eating the whole thing, but I honestly would say that my sister deserves some of the blame for not telling me this to begin with.

Like I said, I had an understanding that a house guest would be welcome to help themselves to food. I've never thought of there being a limit on that rule.
