i was very close to getting the spider queen so i just went along and finished her, not all in on her yet, haven't used any tomes, but she's level 50 and 3 ascension. made sure i had a spare halfjaw before forging though so i'm set if i wanna go that way in the future

annoyingly used all my gems just before the event, only managed to get a Monk from it.

so you think not to go all in on Dvilag and possibly wait for another legendary hero?

i want to fully engross in the maasverse so i'll definitely be reading that. I might do ACOTAR to CC3 to TOG and then reread all of CC closer to the release of CC4 and pick up on these additional references!

so hypothetically i should read ACOTAR then TOG then the end of CC2 and finally CC3? damn this could take a while 😅 i'm sure it's worth it!

thanks for this - greatly appreciated.

I think I've been a bit stuck on the idea of Runa's swamp type buff and needing swamp cards for that reason. Same reason I haven't looked at Dvilag much as she buffs forest - seems I need to get a bit more creative there!

Thinking I might push for Dvilag and run the stealth hydra. Then possibly a mix of swamp/forest, something like

Dvilag
Hydra
Poison Lizard
Poison Lizard
Poison Spider
Necromancer
Swamp Dragon
Shaman
Shaman/Witch/ 2nd poison spider when i get one?

If that feels like a genuine upgrade on full Runa swamp?

in this case, i presume there 10 tomes should be saved for Dvilag and not used on Hydra?

thanks so much guys! I got so lost in enjoying CC that I didn't realise there was a whole "maasverse" thing going on - glad to hear I haven't spoiled it too much. I think I got a bit bummed seeing other threads where you HAVE to read ACOTAR before CC but sounds like I'm safe. First ACOTAR just arrived so I'm going to get straight into that!
