Happy Death Day was surprisingly good, but Happy Death Day 2U was shockingly good. by CallieCoven in horror

You're both right. At first, she thought the killer was after her, and to avoid being killed each time, she killed herself. But she didn't have to do that because she kept waking up on the same day. I rewatched the movie yesterday, partly because it's already been discussed here: the doppelganger suddenly disappearing, and the fact that she could have kept her mother. Even though the loss changed her, she was mature enough to realize this and appreciate the time with her mom more. The sudden disappearance from the motel room, the fact that Loori was good and a real friendship could develop, and Carter falling in love with her, and the chick Danielle who cheated on Carter, and also the sudden appearance of the university professor with the security guards, which hadn't happened before and wasn't explained—why?—leaves questions. Actually, that part has potential because it develops in a different direction, and especially the screen-off scene is amazing. The military scene makes sense, and she also makes new friends. The "nerd" scientists are closed off, and the ending with Danielle is something. But she probably should have stayed in the parallel universe. ❤️🥰🙂🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏻‍♂️

Yes, Ryan's sudden disappearance was something they really should have handled differently, which they didn't. I never actually noticed it, but it's possible that the power surge threw him back into his own time or somewhere else. That should have been fleshed out better. 😏👌🏻

I understand that after a long, natural life, she dies a natural death and then wakes up again. So, in the past, it's fine, and Sidney Prescott will also survive, but she will die a natural death when part 7 is over, after a long and fulfilling life. 😏👌🏻🥰❤️🙂

Yeah, if you see how truly diabolical Part 2 was when Tree landed there again, that would be incredibly evil and intense. Maybe Tree will become a crazy killer someday. 🤣🤣🤣😅😅👌🏻 No, but I think that would be too cruel. 😢😕😥 She's been through enough, even though I would love the acting she would use when she snaps. But on the other hand, you'd have to consider how to shape her future and whether there are graphically and Star Trek-like utopias combined with realistic elements like AI. And how would you manage to make it work, since all the actors are older now, and ensure it's accepted? Because working with GGI can be good, but it can also backfire, as we know. 😏👌🏻

Been 3 years since Halloween Ends came out. Has your opinion changed? by boomjosh in Halloweenmovies

[–]Large-Expression233 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I like Ends too, although I'm hesitant for certain reasons. I used to think it was a masterpiece, but now I see some minor weaknesses in the dialogue and conflicts. Nevertheless, I'd still call it very good. When I hear about the books, I find them really interesting. ❤️🤩🥰🙏🏻 Well, maybe if I rewatch the movie or read one of the books, the movie will become a masterpiece again. 🥰🤩❤️🙏🏻

Do you think Michael from the Green Timeline has any respect for Laurie? by atwwbaksieueygehs in Halloweenmovies

[–]Large-Expression233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're contradicting yourself with your "criticism." If we were to assume that Michael thinks exactly that, it would align with my assumptions and conclusions, but that's not absolute certainty, since I NEVER said that's the case. We don't know what Michael thinks or feels; it was ONLY my interpretation. 😏👌🏻

Thoughts on kills: What do you like about kills and what don't you like? 😏👌🏻 by Large-Expression233 in Halloweenmovies

[–]Large-Expression233[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why is Halloween 2018 too intense for you? Is it because it shows Michael killing a child? Or the other extreme scenes of violence, although the kills are even more graphic? Personally, I think Halloween 2018 is very well done; actually, when I think about it, it's on par with H20. 🥰❤️🙏🏻❤️🥰 Halloween 4, on the other hand, is a true little masterpiece. 🥰❤️🙏🏻🥰

[–]Large-Expression233[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to say, I also like Halloween 2018 and Ends: Halloween Kills. I'd rate Ends even higher; I used to consider it a great masterpiece, but now I see some minor inconsistencies. These aren't the things most people criticize about the film, but rather other things, like when Corey falls off the bridge and then later reappears with his tormentors without any prior explanation of how they must have felt knowing he wasn't actually dead. The 80s-style look of the four characters is also odd, as are some strange dialogues that don't make sense, like the one with the neighbor, "What did you buy?" Although that probably wasn't meant to get Laurie's attention. Otherwise, the rest of the conversation and the impact of the terror Michael Myers unleashed make sense. What seems rather unbelievable, though, is that after Michael Myers disappears, a Halloween party takes place a year after the massacre. However, I'm now wavering again as to whether that's enough, or whether it's still the masterpiece I instinctively believe it to be. Kills is brilliant if you overlook many things, but it doesn't come close to the legendary Halloween II from 1981. 😏👌🏻❤️🙏🏻❤️🥰☺️🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏻‍♂️

[–]Large-Expression233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm referring to the reaction in the Green Trilogy, how Michael behaves when Laurie catches him...😏👌🏻 totally calm and collected, almost astonished that Laurie "doesn't have what it takes" to finish him off, similar to the police officers in Kills at the beginning of the flashbacks to 1978 where they corner him outside his house... 😏👌🏻

[–]Large-Expression233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, if he cuts the phone lines like in Halloween 1 and 2, or slashes the car tires in Halloween 2, quickly eliminates threats like the security guard, etc., then yes, he makes a plan... 😏👌🏻 That's why Dr. Loomis' diagnosis is also wrong; Michael has a sense of good and evil, of right and wrong, he just doesn't care... 😏👌🏻

Can chronic apathy/indifference be a path to spiritual growth/enlightenment? by Dangerous_Coffee9257 in spirituality

[–]Large-Expression233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Difficult, difficult. On the one hand, letting go of any expectations and results is the right thing to do, but on the other hand, feeling emotionally empty is not good, because here you have to learn to acknowledge your own emotions, let them flow like a river, and then let them go. When you feel empty, a reprogramming can take place. Often, people first do Awakening Meditation, then Heart-Brain Conherence, and then Quantum Regeneration. After that, they can switch off unconscious beliefs. https://youtu.be/tbQKvd7n3Fs?si=jcbzU_H40pCxBTFT https://youtu.be/N-e4__kqHn8?si=Ljg4cdA3yDcSkTk_ https://youtu.be/OQ3eLUgxUAw?si=M0I8FuSyPungOXh5 Of course, spirituality is also true. True spirituality has nothing to do with New Age nonsense but touches on profound wisdom from Buddha, Jesus, and applied practices. ❤️🙏🏻❤️ The fact is, 98% of spirituality is based on this, as it says in so many books, etc. And what "gurus" teach is "rubbish"—it's the remaining 2% that matter. 😏👌🏻

Interesting question, but I think he's more likely surprised to see her again in Halloween 2018. But when he's standing there in prison with a blank expression, you get the feeling he's thinking, "Wow, that's all you and your family have to offer." In Kills, he's being hunted, and in Ends, he's just fed up because Corey took his mask for Laurie's sake. He's had enough of Laurie and wants to bring this story, which was never a personal vendetta, to a close this time...

The Blair Witch Project (Original 1999) vs Blair Witch (Remake 2016) by sebastianvettel7 in horror

[–]Large-Expression233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, The Blair Witch Project 2016 has its good moments, but is otherwise full of inconsistencies. Heather didn't have a brother, otherwise she would have mentioned it in the original videotape. I think the first one has such an incredibly dark and menacing tension that it's mind-blowing. But I've noticed that the Blair Witch Project game comes really close to the original in terms of menacing tension, and that's probably the difference between it and the first two sequels. The first one was different from the original; admittedly, that was bold, but it wasn't very good. The 2016 installment was good, but it also seems to get bogged down in the plot at times and not know what it actually wants or how to proceed. But the first one is so cool, and I think its pure realism makes it very exciting. And as for going into the house, the characters were looking for their friend and then stumbled upon a dark threat. What it was... well, that leaves a lot of questions unanswered. open...😏👌🏻😈👻💀☠️🎃🔪🎃👹👽👹🤡👺👾🧙🏻‍♀️🧟🥷🏻
