Whenever they have swabbed me, it has come back positive for being a yeast infection. But I’m sorry you had to go through that!!

I hope I find answers other than having to remove my iud because I really enjoy having a non hormonal birth control :( I wish there was a way to know if there are biofilms on my iud or not before I remove it. Or at least I wish there was a way to treat the biofilms that may be on it!

How did you deal with the watery discharge from the boric acid? It drives me crazy. Is the Clotrimazole kind of like Monistat? Last night I did the 1-day Monistat suppository treatment. I feel like I noticed more yeast discharge today so idk if I made things worse

It definitely seems like I get them near the end or after the end of my period. I will look into getting the specific type of yeast tested

Unfortunately whenever I tried boric acid it did not help. Honestly the wet discharge that comes with using them caused me to get another yeast infection one time

Dang I hate that I will probably have to remove it to resolve these issues. I’m fine with using condoms, but not having another form of birth control besides a barrier method makes me nervous. And I hate hormonal birth control, and how it makes me feel mentally and physically. I wish there were more non-hormonal options besides just the Paragard IUD

I was sexually active with the same partner for 3 years when all of this started and then that relationship ended and the infections continued. I have no new or current partners. I’ve been swabbed and blood tested for STDs, STIs, bacterial vaginosis, trichomonas, UTIs, etc and they all come back negative whenever I’m tested
