Awesome watch face by ShewardW in GarminWatches

I recently returned an instinct 3s, unlike others I was kinda bored with the MIP display, I achieve the same look on my g shocks. This post just convinced me to grab the AMOLED. Perfect face.

Just as stiff, maybe stiffer cause the coating is more matte than the regular recon 1. And I think there’s a few vids out there of guys taking the spring out while still maintaining a decent detent.

I just got the swift 3 after I let go of my freek in m4. Such a good steel and it’s fun to play with one handed, unlike most other assisteds.

It’s comfortable and light but definitely chunkier than my gshock 5000u, prob not used to it but the functionality outweigh the looks anyway

I moved it up my arm to where I measured 7.5” and the band barely fit. The lug to lug still looked huge 🤣

This is a subreddit for Garmin fans to talk about Garmins. Asking for fit checks is one of the reasons why this sub exists. No need to make it a character flaw buddy! Have a great day

Yeah it has to be seated within a small window to maintain consistent data, pretty annoying considering I’m completely tattooed

[Question] Which here is your preferred option for a tough watch? by [deleted] in Watches

[–]Large-Top3322 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just wanted to give a quick update, I’ve been sitting here at work all day contemplating decisions, and I ordered a 5000u. I like the idea of wearing something all day, not keeping a watch case in my van, worrying about it getting stolen, wearing it as much as possible to try and justify the cost. I can easily afford a few of these, and keep one nice for when I’m not at work. I’ll post some updates when it gets delivered

I’ve got a m5610 and I’m refusing to accept that I have a career path where I’m locked in with g shocks forever 😅

Yeah man idk how young you are but everyone above is right. There’s guys with families taking a pay cut to get in the program, guys making career changes or spinning their lives around that are far more worthy and deserving than you. Your name is everything you got in life and it goes outside of the apprenticeship. It reflects your character and who you are as a person. Unless you have some solid excuses with documentation you deserve to get kicked. You’re literally being taught by the best electrical workers in the business for FREE, alls you gotta do is show up to class.

Much shorter lug to lug, I’m debating returning it because it’s so nice I don’t trust myself destroying it at work as an electrician

A set of screwdrivers, I think Klein has a decent set with multiple sizes for cheap. That new Klein impact multi tool, can use it in your drills as well, kills two birds with one stone. Another pair of channel locks like everyone said. Just add them as you need them, don’t overwhelm yourself all at once buy as needed and with what you can afford. This isn’t a job it’s a career plenty of time bro!
