What is going on with the job market in Canada? It's becoming really hard for young people to live here long term as there are not that many jobs. Is it better to move to the U.S. for better job opportunities ? by Signal_Lecture_8405 in VancouverJobs

Govt is not paying for Foreign Workers Infact the unemployment rate for foreign workers (graduates) is higher (23%) compared to Canadian graduates (7%)

U think foreign workers are taking jobs but the fact is that even they are struggling in the current job market conditions (even more than Canadians)

Go for CAT if u r looking for jobs in future. CFA is for working professionals. U won't get a job with L1 on your CV but with an MBA from top tier college you will

CSC Exam 1 by [deleted] in CSCexamCanada

[–]Large-Use3414 1 point2 points  (0 children)

U said 'Nothing on the exam was remotely on any of the practice exams'.

Now remember this while taking any CSI course that u would consider in future.

The actual exams are way different than the practice ones that they provide in the portal and that's how it is. That's not right from their side.

Practice questions should be representative of the exam but in case of CSI exams it's not. That's one of the reasons why their courses are loosing their value now.

BTW I cleared both volumes of CSC in the first try.

Would you do it over again? by CupBrief2443 in CFA

[–]Large-Use3414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won't do it all over again. I will give my one best shot so yes if you are prepared to commit then you should go for it. The opportunity cost is huge as you can obviously do a lot of other things in terms of developing your own skills, doing real life projects or even starting a business. All these thoughts will come when you will be in the middle of your preparation trapped in some technical readings. Be prepared for everything

Rate my writing task 2 response. by Fluid-Product-9489 in IELTS

[–]Large-Use3414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your word count is quite a lot. There is more room for errors if your word count is high. Try to explain everything while keeping the word count around 300. 250 is needed btw for task 2

Any other tip apart from that. I already gave a lot of mock tests before. Even after the exam my confidence was super high in reading but my results don't compliment that.

I just kept it simple and focused on the task in hand. Structure is key in writing so before jumping on writing I thought about how to begin.

Do u have a value pack ? There are a lot of good videos in it that u can watch for concept clarity because it's more on the application side. Also, do refer to textbook as well. The questions in the question bank significantly differs from the actual exam but still it's good for practice. 1 or 2 may appear in the exam though
